Hi Lovelies!

I love this. I love this because it is SO simple and SO comfy, yet that necklace just makes it something special. That is the joy of a statement necklace…you don’t need patterned jeans or neon colors to make your outfit pop. And I would have to say that this outfit POPS!

I know I am going to make all you ladies jealous when I once again tell you that this necklace is one of my bargain finds. It was all of $1 at Charming Charlie. I know, don’t even get me started! Every once in a great while they have a clearance sale where everything is 5 for $5…yeah….$1 jewelery. I keep my eye on their emails and will FOR SURE let y’all know if they have one anytime soon. Usually it’s 3 or 4 times per year and let me tell you, I go crazy!

Now, don’t mind the hair constantly being up lately, y’all must realize it is in the triple digits here. It’s hot. Hair down=bad idea for Megan who has 10 feet of it. I love my hair, but when its 103 degrees and it’s sticking to the back of my neck/in my sweaty face/making me all hot, sometimes I just want to chop it all off. Then I think rationally and realize that every time I cut my hair even 3 inches I get all sad and depressed that it’s gone. So, the hair stays…it’s just going to be up for the next 2 months:)

Well, that’s really all I have for today. I am getting SUPER pumped about the Texas Style Council Convention this weekend…it’s going to be such a blast! I am SO excited to meet some bloggers and learn millions of new things that I can bring back to you guys:) Are you going?

Happy Birthday Little Miss Sophie!

Hello There!

Today is a very special day, my little fur baby’s birthday! Disclaimer: If you don’t like puppies or just don’t care, I would turn back now…you are about to see an obnoxious amount of pictures of the cutest puppy in the world….mine:) And back to the post…

I cannot believe that my little baby girl is already 3 years old. Thankfully King Charles Spaniels are perpetual puppies and they never look like fully grown doggies. This is the first picture I ever saw of my little baby, that is her on the left<3

This is Sophie after tearing up one of her toys and spewing stuffing all over the living room. How could you ever get mad at that little face?

My sister is the Momma to Sophie’s brother, Riley. They had an entire year to play together in Michigan before we moved down to Austin. Riley is obsessed with Sophie. No really, to this day if they mention her name he runs to the window and looks for her. Cue the Awwwwwwwwww.

Well, there you have it. My tribute to my little baby girl. Little Miss Sophernugget, you have changed my life in more ways than you will ever know. You are my little ray of sunshine and because of you I will never feel lonely.

Something to note: As I write this post I have a snoring puppy laying on my head and kicking me in the neck. She is taking up the entire pillow and will most likely stay that way all night, because, really, who wants to make her uncomfortable?

The First Anniversary Outfit

Hello Lovelies!
Wes and I’s first wedding anniversary is coming up on August 10th! Yay for one whole, amazing year of marriage!I cannot believe it has already been a whole year….it seems like last week. We have learned so much from each other and I can only speak for myself, but I love him more and more every day.
….and enough with the cheesy, lovey talk. We’ll save that for our actual anniversary:) haha! Anyways, the weekend of August 10th just so happened to ALSO be the only weekend of the entire fall that my sister and her kids could fly down to Texas to celebrate my parents 30th anniversary. Their anniversary isn’t until October, but they wanted to throw a big party and have everyone be able to come. So, on our anniversary we will be going with the whole family to a fancy restaurant in Dallas that my parents love. This is fine with Wes and I, because it means we get to have a beautiful and FREE meal on our anniversary. Maybe we’ll do something romantic and alone during the day:)
But on to important details…this means that I need to pick out a really cute outfit, because there will undoubtedly be a huge photo session with the family since we are all photo obsessed. Now, my mom wants for us to wear “neutral” colors or white, and I figured since it’s the first anniversary of wearing a big white dress, I should wear a white dress again! Right? Right! So, I have 2 options in my closet right now….this white maxi dress below (the details in this picture are awful, on the real thing there are sheer cut outs on the sides by your rib cage and it is much cuter in person) or a 3/4 length sleeve white, lace dress similar to the one below. So I want you all to help me pick a dress and accessorize! What do you think of the options I picked out? Which one would you wear?
