Happy Thanksgiving, Lovelies!

Hi Lovelies!

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! I hope you all have a fabulous day, I know I will! I will be spending the day with (part of) my wonderful family! I know that as a fashion blogger I should probably be posting Black Friday deals right now, but since I won’t be shopping tomorrow I haven’t even looked into the deals much. I haven’t been shopping on Black Friday in years, no good deal is worth my sleep…or piece of mind! Lol! Plus, I usually find bargains that are just as good online…in my jammies…eating left over mashed potatoes:) So, in honor of turkey day, instead of deals I am going to share some of the Thankful posts I have seen around the blogging world that just warmed my heart:) I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I did!

Thankful

1. Shanna from Because Shanna Said So: This girl is the epitome of class. I love her little list. Short, sweet, and filled with love<3

2. Steph from Insert Classy Here: I love the little pictures with hers! It is so nice to see someone being thankful for even the little things in life that others take for granted.

3. Dani from Love Me, Dani Marie: Her list sounds just like mine. I think we should be friends:)

4. Erin from Two Thirds Hazel: This girl cracks me up. Once again, it’s the little things in life….

5. Patti from Oh Mrs. Tucker: I agree 110% with the “food porn” one. I could sit and look at pretty pictures of food online all day:)

6. Rachelle from Inner Loop Adventures: You’ve gotta love the blogging community!

7. Victoria from Bienvenido Adventure: I love someone who can have fun as time goes on instead of looking back in the past!

And then of course there is my thankful post here.

What are you thankful for this season?

Until tomorrow…

xox Megan

A Little Bit Of Fringe

Hi Lovelies!

As I’m sure you are aware (because the Texas bloggers/people in general cannot stop talking about it), it is COLD here. All I have to say is mad props go to those fashion bloggers up in the north. I do not know how they do it. What I do know is that If I have to take pictures in the cold again I might just cry. I hate to say it, but being cold doesn’t make me a very good photographer. Not only was it cold and uncomfortable, but I was attempting to keep the camera from being blown over by the wind. So…..I’m sorry for the somewhat blurry pictures:-\

I was a little bit bummed when I saw that these pictures were blurry, because this top is one of my favorites and I really wanted it to look great. <sigh> I had far too little time to go back and take more…sooooo boo:( Anyways, I used to wear this top all the time when I worked at Charming Charlie because it fit in with the black and white dress code, but I haven’t worn it much since. I just found it in the back of my closet and got so excited because I had forgotten about it!:)

Do you ever find something you forgot you had? Feels like Christmas doesn’t it?:)

Until tomorrow…

Thankful

Hi Lovelies!

Well, Monday was just as rainy as this weekend so unfortunately, I don’t have an outfit for you again today. <sad face> But, being that it is Thanksgiving week, I have a thankful list instead:) These are the things I am thankful for (in no particular order). We often take for granted the things in this world that we should be the most thankful for.

1. My husband– I know that everyone thinks they have the best husband in the entire world. Well, they are wrong….because I do:) He has hung in there since we were 16 years old and I couldn’t be more grateful that he has. He has taught me so much in the past 10 years and we have grown together in such a wonderful way. I honestly don’t know what I would do without him, he is always there for me to laugh with or to cry with. For him, I was always be thankful.

2. My parents I have two of the best role models anyone could ever ask for. They have shaped me into the person I am today and always made sure I had a good head on my shoulders. They have been together for 30 years and have one of the greatest relationships I have ever seen. I hope that Wes and I can continue to learn from their love for years to come.

3. My sisters- My sisters are two of the most fun people I have ever met. Tonya, my oldest sister, has been like a second Mom to me. When my parents moved to Texas, Tonya and I lived a few miles apart in Michigan. She always made sure that I was included and like there was someone looking out for me when my parents couldn’t. Michelle, the middle sister, has always been my partner in crime. She has been right next to me my entire life and let me tell you, I would have been bored out of my mind without her.

Sisters

4. My nieces and nephews- I don’t have any kiddos of my own yet, so it is nice to have some little guys to spoil. I may be biased but they are the cutest/most beautiful kids in this entire world. I am so lucky to have 5 nieces and nephews who love their Auntie Meg so much:)

Kiddos

5. My extended family– I have one of the most supportive and wonderful families that a girl could ask for. They are always willing to listen to my problems, and smack me upside the head when I’m in need of it. I know that they are always there for me and will love me no matter what happens in life.
Thankful for family

6. My puppy, Sophie– I don’t care what anyone says, she is a part of my family. She loves me unconditionally and wants nothing in return. She is my first baby and people may think I am crazy, but I would do anything for her:)

7. My friends- After college is when you find out who your real friends are. There are those who decide that you aren’t worth their time, and to begin with that might hurt, but you will eventually see that they weren’t worth yours either. The ones who stick around, through the good times and bad, are the real friends. I am so lucky to have some really great REAL friends.

8. My job– I have such a great job. I love the company, I love the people, I love what I do. I am so thankful to be able to go to work in the mornings not dreading the next 8 hours.

9. My health– <Knock on wood> This one is a given. I am so glad that I am in good health. I have the ability to go work out and stay in shape. I have the ability to live my life without any physical pain and without worrying about doctors bills.

I don't sweat I sparkle

10. The Blogging World- I cannot begin to express how happy and thankful I am that I became a part of the blogging world. Until about a year ago, I had no idea it even existed, and today I don’t know what I would do without it. It’s so nice to have an outlet for all of the things rolling around in my brain…and having readers who actually care what I have to say is more amazing than you could ever know.  Not to mention, the support I have been shown by some of the ladies in the blog community is amazing beyond words.

11. My education– I am so blessed that I was able to get such a good education. There are some people out there that are less fortunate and it shows.

Albion College

12. Austin, TX- We have only been here 2 years and this city has already done so much for us. This city has given us some great opportunities and we have met some really great people. Not to mention, the weather is spectacular (except these past few days….brrr! Lol!)

Well, there’s my list! I have so much more than that to be thankful for in my life, but listing everything would take forever:) What are you thankful for?

Until tomorrow…

A Weekend Recap And Some Faux Fur With Plaid

Hi Lovelies!

This weekend was a cold one. We Texans aren’t used to it getting into the 30’s, and it did….ALL weekend! As much as I hate the cold, it was really helpful for getting into the Christmas spirit:) We put up our tree and most of our other decorations and it is starting to feel a bit like Christmas around here:)

Christmas Decor

Unfortunately, not only was it cold this weekend it also rained the entire time…which means that I didn’t get any outfit posts in. Sorry! That means you get a lovely weekend update and a pretty outfit that I wish I owned:) I really want some faux fur this season. I have never been really into the whole faux fur trend, but this vest would be really cute with the outfit I picked out. I would really like a fur scarf as well, like the one here on Fashion Canvas’ post. (BTW, I am obsessed with her entire outfit and I realllllly want it all….<sigh>)

Shop Faux Fur:

Don’t you just love those polka dot socks? I think I am going to need those as well as the other patterns they have here. I am pretty sure that I don’t own a pair of plain white socks, they all have patterns or pictures and I plan to keep it that way:)

How was your weekend? Are there any trends you are loving this winter that you haven’t in the past?

Until tomorrow…
