I Don’t Do Resolutions

Hi Lovelies!

Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a wonderful and safe night and that you all have today off to relax! I have had a wonderful week…..a half day on Monday, no work yesterday or today…I will have a rude awakening tomorrow when I have to work for 8 hours. Good thing I have a job I enjoy going to:)

It has been super fun to read everyone’s year in review posts, it’s been a great way to get to know some of my favorite bloggers. If you have one, put your link in my comments so that I can go check it out! Now it’s time for everyone’s resolution posts to start. Well, I’m just going to let the cat out of the bag and let you know that I don’t do resolutions. I used to make a big long list and then I’d just feel bad when I didn’t follow through will all these grand things I promised myself I would do. Instead I just always vow to live the year to the fullest and try to be as healthy and happy as I can be:)

This scarf is the best. I kept seeing them all over the internet, but they were always $50-$60 and I just knew I wouldn’t wear it enough to justify the price tag. I finally found this one on Nordstrom.com and it was only $24.95. Highly Recommend. This is the perfect first day of the year outfit:)

What are you going to wear to the first day of 2014?

Until next time…

I decided to just pick a word for the year. My word to live by is pursuit. When it comes to my goals I just want to always be mindful of them and how I can dedicate myself to pursuing them.

I’ve found the key for me is to not set too many goals. It’s easy to get overwhelmed and just abandon ship on all of them if I feel like I haven’t gotten anywhere. I do a seasonal bucket list to give me more of a timeline on when I want to accomplish things.

P.S. I love this outfit, simply fabulous without being overdone!

Thank you, Nadia! I definitely like to set goals. I just feel as though resolutions are so “I will work out 3 times a week”, and I much prefer the “I will strive to be healthier” kind of goals:)
