Summer Colors: Green & Magenta

Hi Lovelies!

It has been so beautiful here in Austin for the past few weeks and it has really gotten me excited to break out the summer colors! Green and magenta is one of my favorite color schemes and I plan to wear it a lot this summer. If you follow along on Facebook, you will know from yesterday that this necklace is #1 on my list of things to get this summer. I just love the color, and let’s be honest…after my first Kendra Scott purchase this winter I am hooked! I love that she is local and I love the look of every single piece!

Pretty sure I would wear this outfit every week if I owned it, so now I just need to work on getting clothing items to materialize out of thing air. Lol. This dress really isn’t bad actually, only $25 at H&M! I think I can swing $25, now over $300 for the handbag, that will have to be rethought. Cross you fingers that our little housing adventure goes well today!

Hi Lovelies!

This is going to be such a busy week! If all goes well, we should be closing on our new house Wednesday. Woohoo! The entire rest of the week will be spent packing so that we can move in on Saturday. I am beyond excited, but this whole process is SO tiring. I cannot wait until this Sunday when we are in our new house and can relax in our own back yard with a bonfire and drinks.

Almost Time For The Summertime Blues

Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! Mine was pretty awesome. My cousin, Nicolle, is a traveling nurse who will be staying in Austin for the next 3 months. She arrived on Saturday! We took her for an inaugural Austin dinner at Hopdoddy, which she LOVED. Then we spent the rest of the night hanging out with a bottle of wine in the hot tub at her apartment complex. I am so excited that we get to live so close to each other even if it is only for a couple of months!

I wore this dress to Hopdoddy on Saturday night. It was perfect: casual, but still cute! I ordered it online a few weeks ago along with a few other summery items which I will be showing pretty soon! I probably should have ordered one size down, it is a little bit too large, but it definitely made it comfier. It also gives me a way to show off some of my cute bandeaus, like this white lace one! I am really considering buying the coral color of the same dress. It’s on sale for $30, and it’s a solid color which makes it perfect to accessorize with!

The Lust List #8

Hi Lovelies!

Happy Friday! It’s going to be a beautiful weekend! I will be stuck indoors most of the time packing up our house for the big move next week, but I’m sure we’ll prop open the doors and take a few breaks in the sunshine:) I had a little bit too much fun on the Forever 21 website the other day after Shanna posted those adorable floral pants down there. Thankfully I had some extra money in my Paypal account for them:) Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

My Feet Are Happy

Hi Lovelies!

Summertime is here in Texas, and it’s quickly on it’s way everywhere else. You know what that means? Sandal season! I love sandals….actually I think it’s more that I hate shoes, too constricting! Lol! Even though I love sandals so much I have been unfortunately cursed with extremely rough and dry feet <rolls eyes>, it’s a family trait that I inherited and sometimes I just want to hide my feet from the world. It’s really sad when your husband has nicer, softer feet than you do…it really is. I would go get a pedicure every two weeks to keep those tootsies in check, but you know, some people just don’t have hundreds of dollars to spend on their feet. Especially when there are prettier things to spend money on. Like clothes, and SANDALS, and pretty things for your new house:) Or you know, that house in general….lol!

When I was contacted to try the Emjoi Micro Pedi Nano I was psyched. Is that still a word people use? Ha, first thing that popped into my head:) My mom, sisters, and I have been searching for the perfect pedicure products for years and have found some pretty great ones, but I wasn’t about to turn down a chance to find another! I got it in the mail, and immediately went to work on my feet. Now, you’re probably looking for some before and after photos, of which I don’t have. Yeah, I got a little bit over zealous and had done BOTH of my feet before I realized that would probably have been a good thing. That’s okay though, now you don’t have to look at gross pictures of my before feet on the internet! (I hate feet)

This thing is pretty awesome. My feet feel so much more smooth and there aren’t big dry callused parts anymore! All you do is throw in some batteries, flip the switch, and rub the Emjoi over all the rough patches on your feet. Voila! Rough callused feet no more! I always throw on some cracked heel lotion afterwards and my feet are good as new! I love the small size because it’s easy to store in my little nail drawer, and it is so affordable at $24.95 including shipping! That sure beats some of the others I have seen going for $35-$100 a pop!
