Finding My Motivation

Floral skirt with black topHi Lovelies!

I got this skirt on sale on Target.com and was SO excited that they had my size. Now, 2 months later, this is the first time I have worn it. I do this all the time! I get so excited for something and then when it comes in I ignore it for 2 months. Now, after wearing it, I don’t know why I waited so long! It’s so cute and the colors are so bright and fun!

Time is flying by way too quickly these days! I feel like it was yesterday that I was in Galveston running my half marathon, but it was more than a month ago! That being said, that month has been really bad for me in terms of working out and eating right. Every time I see someone running through my neighborhood I get all antsy to go for a run, and I am determined that this is the week I will get back on the horse and stay there! I haven’t been terrible, but I have definitely NOT been good! It’s starting to get pretty hot here in Austin, so I m going to have to start going on my runs before work when it is still cooler outside.

How do y’all find the motivation to wake up in the early morning and take a run (or go to the gym)?!

I absolutely love that skirt. But the whole look is simply gorgeous! And honestly, I’ve never gone to the gym or ran! My motto is, ‘if it’s not fun, I don’t want to do it.’ And working out is so not fun to me! 😉

It is SO hard to find the motivation to workout once I’ve let myself slip for a few days. For me, it helps to have a program to follow–I started with Couch to 5K before I ran my first 5K last winter. Since then, I’ve followed some 30-day programs. It just helps me a lot to have a plan mapped out!

I know! It’s so hard! I was doing so well when I was training for the half marathon…maybe I need to sign up for another one to get the motivation:)

You are too cute! The motivation comes from looking in the mirror and seeing what needs to change! But then again, I love working out!

Thank you! I love working out too, I just have this stupid voice in my head that tells me I have more important things to do…like decorate my new house. Haha…..I know the voices are wrong, but they are so convincing!

I love your skirt so much I’ve pinned it to my florals board.
I love the way the roses are quite large, it fits you really well. Love the Kate Spade too! (ST)

I’m not sure if my comment posted because my internet was being finicky (hopefully this doesn’t post twice), but I just wanted to say that I absolutely love this outfit and you look so flawless and put-together! Thanks for the style inspiration! (:
