The only complaint I have about the skirt is about the fabric. It is beautiful and looks wonderful, but it is one of those skirts where when you sit down it immediately wrinkles. I don’t know if there is any way to stop this (if there is PLEASE tell me how!), but I definitely noticed it after sitting down at the office all day long. Neon By Day

Hi Lovelies!

If any of you know me well, you will know that I sometimes switch my outfit during the day…especially on the weekend. I get really excited about new clothes and new ways to style pieces and sometimes I just CAN NOT wait to wear them. So, I wear two outfits in one day….so sue me:) I am really trying to avoid doing this too often, because then I just dirty twice as many clothes, and in turn have to wash twice the amount of clothes. That’s just annoying and really a waste of water. We’re in a drought here people! So, today I am going to show you a cute way to style my outfit for a day out shopping with the girls, and later on next week i’ll show you how to change up the accessories in the outfit to make it perfect for a night on the town.

For my day time look I went with some cute nude wedges with a matching clutch and a dainty necklace. I don’t like to wear a ton of jewelry when I go out shopping because you have to take it all off in order to try anything new on. The wedges are a little more casual, which make them perfect for a daytime outfit! Stay tuned next week when I change out those accessories for something a little more suitable for nighttime.

Hi Lovelies!

Summer is in full swing here in Austin. Everyone I know has been spending weekends at the lake, tanning at Barton Springs, paddle boarding on the river, and eating outside on all of the amazing outdoor patios we have down here. Summer is my favorite time of year…not only because I adore the blistering hot temperatures here in Texas (not a joke, I love heat), but because of the clothing. I love sundresses, skirts, tank tops, and most of all bathing suits! I have been workin’ hard on the bikini bod these past few weeks, so it may be necessary soon to have a bikini splurge and above are some of my FAVORITES! I am loving the floral patterns this summer and I think I would just die if I could have that yellow J Crew suit. <sigh>

Put An Egg On It

Hi Lovelies!

My name is Megan, and I am a burger addict. Pizza too, but that’s another story for a different day. I have been really trying to avoid these foods since I started my bootcamp a month ago, and have been trying to eat well and live a healthy lifestyle. Now, don’t by any means think that I am saying the meal down below is healthy, haha, but this black bean burger is much better for me than my regular beef burger. I am that person who likes to jam onions, ranch, bacon, and all sorts of unhealthy things into my burger meat. Lol. When I found out that I had the opportunity to try out Sunshine burgers for free, I jumped at the chance. I mean, really…who wouldn’t? Free food y’all! I have also been looking for a good black bean burger for a few years now. We used to go to this burger shop in Downtown Rochester, Michigan, and my favorite thing to order was their black bean burger. Ever since then, I have been trying to find something similar to it and have had no such luck. When I found out that Sunshine Burgers made a black bean one, I knew which flavor I was going to try immediately.

Now, I’m not going to lie to you, just looking at the burger by itself I was a little turned off. It doesn’t LOOK necessarily appetizing, but alas, I melted some fresh mozzarella on it, took it off the grill, placed it on my bun, spread a little chipotle mayo on it, and topped it all off with a fried egg. It was pretty darn good. Let me also say, that if you haven’t tried an egg on a burger (no matter what kind) you NEED to do it now! Best. Idea. Ever.

My First Monogram

Hi Lovelies!

I know, I know…I am a bit behind on the monogram front seeing as thought this clutch is my very first! My sister, Michelle, got it for me for my birthday from this cute little Etsy shop. I went to dinner with Wes and some of our friends for my birthday in this outfit. It’s one of my new favorites! I have never really been a blue person, but this dress is so bright and comfy. I also really love how it looks with my dark hair:) Oh, and the wedges….I bought them specifically to wear with this dress and I am so happy the outfit turned out like I had planned!
