Stripes & Floral For Easter

Pastel-Floral-and-stripes
This past weekend was so beautiful and so much fun, I was so bummed when Sunday night rolled around. Don’t get me wrong, I love my job….but the weekend is what we all live for, am I right? My best friend came in from Houston to visit, and we ran a 10k on Saturday morning. The rest of the weekend was filled with shopping, food, and gossip. It was a much needed girls weekend that we plan to continue on next weekend when i go visit her in Houston! Her hubby is going out of town for a bachelor party and I’m sure mine will find something to do at home with the dog:) This outfit will be the one I wear on Easter in Houston. We’ll probably go get brunch and have some mimosas before I have to head back to reality here in Austin.

When Heather and I went shopping this weekend, we stopped in to Old Navy and I have to say, they are on point so far for spring/summer clothes! We had gone to H&M beforehand and I was SO disappointed that everything seemed to be fall and winter colors still! The second March hits, we Texans are in spring/summer mode and need some BRIGHT colors and sundresses in our lives! Thankfully, Old Navy had both, and I came out with this dress and blazer as well as a few other things I’ll show you over the next few weeks! I picked up the dress first, and then when I saw the blazer I knew exactly what I was going to do with them. It turned out exactly as I had hoped and I am in love:) What will you be wearing for Easter?

Flamingos & Dots

Pink Navy and Mint outfit

This weekend was a crazy one. It was South By Southwest here in Austin, so Wes and I went out in downtown with some friends on Friday night. The night consisted of live music, free tacos, and free drinks, so needless to say it was a good one:) Saturday night we went to a housewarming party which was a fun time as well. I made this really awesome housewarming gift that involved wine corks and my new Silhouette machine! I’ll be sure to post a photo and maybe a tutorial sometime soon! We had quite the scare on Saturday night after the party when Sophie got ahold of half a bag of chocolate chips and had to be rushed to the emergency vet! They had to give her something to make her throw it all up and then monitor her for a while. It was so scary, but she is doing much better now. I’ll tell you, I didn’t let that little nugget out of my sight for the rest of the weekend. I gave her extra hugs and cuddles too!Pink and mint summer outfit inspiration Pink polka dot cardigan from Target Button down and pencil skirt Mint flamingo top with pink cardigan Mint and pink with flamingos Mint Flamingo button down shirt Mint flamingo button down Polka dots and flamingos

Today’s outfit makes me long for summer. Thankfully, it has been beautiful here in Austin lately and it is supposed to remain that way from now on. I’m happy because I love the heat and can’t wait for summer:) I wore the t-shirt version of this flamingo top a few weeks back here and when I saw that they had a button down I threw it into my cary immediately! I bought the cardigan the same day with this exact outfit in mind! The pattern mix with the dots and flamingos is adorable in my opinion and I just love how the entire outfit turned out!:) Is it getting nice out where you live? Are you starting to plan your summer wardrobe?

MealEnders

Mealenders great to help with overeating
I love food. It’s really as simple as that. I love food that’s good for you, I love food that is bad for you…I just for the most part love food. Well, I guess we have a love hate relationship. I love food, but I hate the calories. Haha! When I was contacted as a part of my Sweat Pink Ambassadorship to review MealEnders, I knew that I had to try it. I mean, something that claims to help you beat overeating? I’m all about that! They sent me a package of each flavor MealEnders and I have been able to try them out for the last month in order to give my honest option.
First, let’s talk a little bit about what MealEnders are. Well, according to MealEnders packaging and website, they are “signaling lozenges” that combine food science and psychology to offer a low-calorie and stimulant-free way to fight the urge to overindulge. Basically to summarize MealEnders offer you a reward and resets your taste buds. There are two layers, the first is the “reward layer” and it tastes like dessert, the second layer is a cool tingling layer that distracts your mind from the food you want to overeat! There is an entire page explaining all of the science behind it at such on their “How it Works” page if you would like in depth info!
Meal Enders chart
I’ll be honest with you, my first MealEnders weren’t taken to actually avoid overeating, I really just wanted to taste them. I was pleasantly surprised by how good they were! The chocolate mint was by far my favorite. I think it was the one that really helped to reset my palate the best. It was almost the same effect as when you brush your teeth and you have that mint taste in your month and anything you eat tastes bad. The mint flavor made me not crave any more food.
Chocolate Mint Mealenders- Great to help with overeating
I think one of the biggest things that you have to remember when taking your MealEnders is NOT to chew them in any way. Savor them! If you savor them and just let them melt away they will last for about 20 minutes. That really is enough time for you to forget about whatever it was that you were eating and it’s right around the time that your body will start to tell you you are full.
Sounds pretty great huh? Well, you are in luck, because I am giving away 4 packs of Meal Enders to one lucky reader out there! You will get to try all 4 flavors for free! All you have to do is enter in the rafflecopter below and come back to see if you won on Monday morning! I also have an exclusive MealEnders discount just for you guys! For the next two weeks you can get 30% off MealEnders by entering promo code WINNER-TOO at check out! I hope everyone who tries them out LOVES them…I know I will be going back for some more chocolate mint as soon as I run out! Good luck in the giveaway!
