Polka Dots & Pink

I have worn this outfit multiple times since I got this polka dot top in November and I LOVE it. I saw a picture on Pinterest that had a polka dot button down and a magenta sweater and I KNEW that was how I was going to style it. I searched for a pink sweater for a while before I found this one at Target. It’s perfect! Who doesn’t love black, white, and pink together?! That’s what I thought! These photos are from a few weeks ago before I trimmed my hair, but I haven’t had a ton of time to post them. Here I am though! Miss me? :)

Again, I am in love with this outfit, and am so happy that SheIn contacted me and offered to have me style a piece of theirs!  It took a week or so to get the top, but once I received it, it was definitely worth it. It’s not a cheap, thin material and actually has some substance to it unlike some chiffon type tops I’ve found. I will be ordering some more items for spring soon, including this dress I’ve had my eye on!

My Life: Binge Watching #YoungerTV

Screen Shot 2016-01-13 at 12.53.47 PM

Ahh! I am so excited for tonight! One of my favorite shows, Younger, is having their season 2 premiere at 9:00! I’ve been binge watching season 1 all morning while I work in preparation for tonight! I’m not going to lie, Hilary Duff is what drew me in in the first place. I mean who doesn’t want to relive their Lizzy McGuire childhood a little bit? Am I the only one? Lol!

If you’ve never seen the show before, it’s about this hilarious 40 year old woman who gets divorced and needs a job to support herself and her daughter after taking years off to raise her. She has to pretend to be 26 in order to land a job that she wants in social media and the rest is just hilarious! TV Land has absolutely KILLED it with this show and I highly recommend setting your DVR if you can’t be home:)

Anyways, I am back to working, planning, and binge watching! See you all tonight in TV Land!

Easy Crock Pot Tortilla Soup

Crock Pot Tortilla Soup

Tortilla soup is one of my absolute favorite things to get at a Mexican restaurant. I love the simplicity of it all, and it doesn’t make me feel quite as full and bloated as all of the other Mexican dishes I love so much. I have been making tortilla soup in the crock pot for years now and have JUST about perfected my version. It’s healthy and light and can easily be made paleo or whole30 for those of us that are in to that sort of thing! When I’m being a good paleo girl, I tend to make the entire soup minus the beans and corn and then add those items to Wes’ soup since he likes them. What a good wife I am:)
Crock Pot Tortilla Soup

Ingredients:

  • 2-4 Chicken breasts (depending on amount of servings you want)
  • 1 can diced tomatoes (optional- you can also use ALL fresh tomatoes)
  • 2 fresh tomatoes- diced
  • 1 medium onion- diced
  • 2 jalapeños- diced
  • 1 green bell pepper- chopped
  • 1 red bell pepper- chopped
  • 1 can green chiles (optional- you can also use fresh green chiles)
  • 1 cup of frozen corn (optional for those that are paleo)
  • 1 can black beans (optional for those that are paleo)
  • 4 garlic gloves- chopped
  • 2.5 cups chicken broth (This is the kind I use.)
  • 1 tsp cilantro or 2 tsp fresh cilantro-chopped
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • Salt- to taste
  • Pepper- to taste

Topping Ideas:

  • Jack cheese mix
  • Tortilla chips/strips
  • Avocado
  • Sour Cream
  • Greek Yogurt

Directions:

  1. Start your crock pot and put your chicken breasts in there.
  2. Add your diced tomatoes, and veggies (not including corn and beans) to the crock pot.
  3. Add chicken broth and all spices to the mix.
  4. Cook on low for 6-8 hours.
  5. With 30 minutes left, add your corn and beans.
  6. Serve hot with some lime juice squeezed over top.
  7. Some really awesome topping are tortilla strips, cheddar jack cheese, avocado, sour cream, or Greek yogurt!

Easy tortilla soup

This is one of my all time favorite recipes, it’s great for warming you up in cold weather! I also like to make this in the summer as a light dinner, or for a cook out! Such a versatile soup and so delicious!

I hope you all enjoy!

Jamberries For Christmas

DSC_5387

Pedicures are one of my favorite ways to relax. I usually try to get one once a month or so, at least before any big events. It’s a very rare day that I ever get a manicure to go with that pedicure though. I sometimes paint my nails myself, but I don’t waste my $$$ on a manicure because I know myself and I will IMMEDIATELY mess it up or pick at it and then be mad at myself. Well, I have found a new obsession! Janet over at Jamberry nails contacted me and offered to send me some to try out! OMG! I love them! They have lasted me an entire week now and for me that is unheard of!

They are super easy to apply once you have done the first couple and gotten a hang of it. Just pick the size you need for each nail and cut off half of it. You stick it on your nail, and then I used a nail clipper and nail file to make the decal fit onto my nail perfectly. I picked the Christmas socks and Friday Flannel ones because I needed a little Christmas spirit in my life, but I am really diggin’ these polka dot and floral ones too. Oh, and just an FYI, Jamberries are all Buy 3 get one free, so you can get all of your favorites!

Janet has so graciously decided to give away some Jamberries to one lucky All That Glitter reader, so enter through the Rafflecopter below and cross those pretty little fingers that you win some for yourself to try!

Mustard & Teal

Fall felt hat with jewel tone outft

When I bought this skirt at Old Navy back in September, I had about 10 outfits in my mind for it. This has been my favorite and I have already worn it multiple times. I wore it in London to walk around, on Thanksgiving for dinner with the family, and a few time just because! My favorite part is the mix of colors. Jewel tones go so well together and these are three of my favorites. This burgundy Rebecca Minkoff bag has been one of my best purchases! I was so worried that the burgundy would make it less likely to be worn, but it has been quite the opposite and I wear it all the time!Mustard and teal outfit for fall Mustard Old Navy Skirt with Teal top Jewel tones for fall Teal and Mustard fall outfit Mustard, teal, and burgundy
