Oh, Paris

Burgundy and mustard

It has been a while since I’ve done an outfit post on here, and I will be giving you a life update VERY soon to explain why…but today…let’s have a look at Paris. We spent 4 wonderful days in Paris last month and I can tell you that it is every bit as amazing as you would think it is. Every single street your turn down their is another beautiful building or monument to gaze at. <sigh> I had this outfit in my mind from the moment we decided our European extravaganza was going to be in the fall. I had been wanting a mustard skirt last fall and never bought one, so when I found this one on ASOS I checked out almost immediately. It was a purchase a year in the making, lol! I really would have loved to have worn it with my nude bow pumps, but lets be honest….heels and traveling just don’t mix. (Yeah, all of those bloggers who wear high heels in their photos in front of the Eiffel Tower are liars…lol!)ASOS Mustard Scalloped skirt Mustard Skirt for fall Mustard and Burgundy with gold Burgundy Top How to style mustard Scalloped Mustard SkirtGet The Look:

I tried to go for a fall colored theme in all of my clothing on the trip. I packed items in a certain color scheme so that I could mix and match my items and get the most out of my suitcase space! I have to say that it worked out SUPER well and I’ll have to work on a post with my packing tips soon! Hope you all are having a wonderful week and I’ll see you all tomorrow for Fit Friday!

Fitness Friday: The Bulu Box

Bulu Box
*I received a Bulu Box in exchange for a review. I give honest reviews and all opinions are my own.*

I feel like we are in the era of the subscription box. There really is a box for everything these days.

  • Bark box for your dog.
  • Birch box for the make up lovers.
  • Stitch fix for the fashionistas.
  • Graze for the snackers.
  • Whimsey Box for the crafter.
  • Club W for the wine-os.
  • Rocksbox for the jewelry lovers.

One of my favorites so far though, has to be the Bulu box! They send you vitamins, supplements, and other fitness related products to you each month. You get samples of a whole plethora of items so that you don’t waste your money on a full sized item you might hate! They even have a special weight loss box for those that are specifically interested in weight loss.

I was asked to review the Bulu box and knew that it would be helpful on my healthy life journey! I really liked the size of the samples. I tried the Birchbox at one point and some of the samples were just too small to decide whether or not I liked them. The sample sizes in the Bulu Box were definitely big enough to get a good feel for the product. You can also review the samples to earn points that will earn you money towards the full sized products that you can buy right on the Bulu box website!

You should definitely check the Bulu Box out if you are interested in health products, I was pleasantly surprised!

Buffalo Ranch Stuffed Peppers

Buffalo Chicken Stuffed Peppers

The Whole30 really has changed me for life. I would have looked at the title of this recipe, gotten the idea for ranch chicken, and thrown it over some rice or something. I would have also used a packet of ranch….filled with all sorts of things you can’t pronounce and probably shouldn’t put in your body. This recipe, however, uses ingredients that are good for you and are whole30/paleo compliant! Yay for healthy foods that taste like they are SO bad for you! Haha! Alright, let’s get down to the recipe…

Buffalo Chicken Stuffed PeppersIngredients:

  • 2-4 Chicken breasts- depending on how many servings you want to make
  • A medium to large sized onion
  • 1/3 cup of ghee
  • Bell peppers
  • 3/4 cup hot sauce
  • 1 tsp parsley
  • 1 tsp dill
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp chives

Directions:

  1. Put your chicken into your crockpot.
  2. Mix up your dried spices and add them to the crockpot.
  3. Chop up your onions and sprinkle them over the chicken.
  4. Add your hot sauce and mix everything together. Make sure that you coat the chicken well and get the spices all mixed in to the sauce.
  5. Cut ghee into small pieces and place them evenly throughout the crockpot.
  6. Cook chicken in your crockpot on high for 4 hours or on low for 8 hours.
  7. Once it is cooked, take a fork to the chicken and it should shred extremely easily. Mix shredded chicken and sauce together.
  8. Taste the sauce at this point and decide whether it tastes enough like ranch. This is the point where you would add more dry spices if you want more of a ranch flavor. I personally added a lot here!
  9. Cut the tops off of your peppers and take out the seeds.
  10. Scoop the chicken mixture into each pepper.
  11. Bake on 350 degrees for 20-30 minutes, or until the peppers are a bit soft.
  12. Enjoy!

Buffalo Chicken Stuffed PeppersI won’t lie, I would eat the chicken mixture just by itself as well. Ranch chicken=life! I hope you all enjoy the recipe! Let me know if you happen to try it out!
