Little Leopard Touches

Black and denim and leopard keds

Hi Lovelies!

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! My sister and her family from Dallas came to stay with us on their way to Sea World. Wes and I babysat for the little baby all day Saturday and he is such a perfect little angel. If you follow me on Instagram or Twitter you probably saw the photos of little Mr. Carter from this weekend.  It was so cute to watch Wes with the baby, and I think he had a lot of fun playing Uncle Wes for the weekend. One of the many reasons to love my husband, he’s going to be a fantastic dad someday. Don’t worry for all of you family members out there reading this and having a mild heart attack, it will be a long while. I got my baby fever out this weekend with my sister’s little ones:)

On to the outfit! This dress (also seen here) is so comfortable and you can do pretty much anything with it. You all know my favorite print to throw into a plain, casual outfit (or any outfit really) is leopard and these shoes are my new favorites. I actually fell in love with some just like them that Shanna had on her blog a few weeks back, but they were so expensive. So, I went on a hunt for some cheaper ones and found these babies at Target. They are only $16.99 and they are really comfortable so I definitely would suggest ordering them:) I can’t wait to wear them like Shanna styled them with a cute t-shirt, fedora, and shorts!

Pastels From Winter To Spring

Hi Lovelies! One of my favorite 2013 trends was by far pastels. I am so excited that I am still seeing them everywhere I shop, it gives me so much hope that they are here to stay!  PS: I cannot believe that I am already seeing spring lines going out at every store I walk into! I am so pumped, since I absolutely hate winter and cannot wait for my Texas spring:)

These light colors are great all year round and today I wanted to show you a few cute options for wearing pastels through winter and into spring. Pastels for winter and spring

I don’t think we Texans will be needing our winter clothes for too much longer, but for all of you Northern ladies out there, we have the winter pastel outfit. A nice warm sweater with skinnies and some adorable mint shoes to top it all off!

And for you Texas ladies who had a 65 degree day yesterday <woot woot>…here is my spring version! This shirt is so comfy and they have a whole bunch of different colors. It’s a nice alternative to the regular denim chambray top.

The kicker in these outfits for me really is the shoes. They are by Yellowbox and I think they are just the cutest. I have gotten so many compliments on them already and I’ve only worn them once or twice. My Mom, sisters and I have been huge Yellowbox sandal fans for years and I had NO idea Yellowbox even made flats until recently! New obsession found.

How will you be wearing pastels in 2014?

Until tomorrow…

New Year’s Eve Sparkle

Hi Lovelies!

I have been such a busy little blogger lately! Taking outfit posts left and right, getting caught up on some great projects I’m working on….living the good life with my half days at work…:) <Sigh> With the end of the year coming I have really been thinking back on the awesome things I have done this year, and I have realized that I am SO lucky. Lucky to have the greatest family, husband, puppy, and job that a girl could ever ask for. Lucky to have the best readers and blog friends ever. I love this little blog so much. I have put my all in to it, and every single one of you guys out there that read and comment and show up each and every day just make me so happy:) You are all absolutely amazing and if it weren’t for you I probably wouldn’t have the motivation to show up here each day and do my fashion bloggy thang. So, this post is a thank you to all of you out there, whether I know you or not, just know that every little comment I get from you all just makes my entire day and I love you for it!

Now, on to the outfit for today! New Year’s Eve is tomorrow! It’s so crazy how fast this entire year went by. Well, if you managed to find your way here from the Texas Women Bloggers site, you will already know from my post there that I love, love, LOVE to dress up for New Year’s Eve. No outfit planning makes me happier than NYE outfit planning. Glitter, glitter, and more glitter is always appropriate on NYE. So, I found this glittery little number online at American Eagle…on sale for $20 I might add…and I knew it was perfect for the occasion. I ordered it, along with what turned out to be a hideous fur vest, and fell in love the moment I put it on. The vest on the other hand, I will be returning. I am still debating whether or not I want to go with the black top or a white chiffon one I have…guess it will depend on my mood:)

What are you wearing for NYE? Share your link in the comments!

Until next time…
