A Perfect Mix of Summer and Fall

Hi Lovelies!

Happy Friday! This week went by SO fast I can’t believe it is already the weekend again! That’s one of the best parts of a 3 day weekend…the 4 day week afterwards!

Today’s outfit is a little bit of summer with just the right hint of fall for early September. The shorts and cowboy boots give it that cool summer look that we Texans still need here in the 100 degree heat, but the browns in the outfit give it just a touch of a fall!

I also can’t get enough of this camel necklace. It’s unlike anything I have seen before….everyone has an owl, but who else has a camel? Yeah…I thought so! I also had a man point out to me that it should be my hump day necklace because of that commercial with the camel. I will for sure be wearing this on a Wednesday next time:)

Shirt: Target
Shorts: (To be honest, I don’t remember…)
Boots: Francesca’s Collections
Camel Necklace: Charming Charlie
Bracelet & Watch: Charming Charlie
Clutch: Charming Charlie
Earrings: Another vintage piece from my Mother In Law

It is still outrageously hot here in Austin. It has been 100 degrees all week long. I love heat, but I sure am ready for fall to come…I want apple cider and Halloween candy! Is anyone else out there trying to get into the fall feel without burning alive in jeans and scarves?!

Until next time…

I Don’t Know What Day It Is…..

I almost named this post “My Weekend In Instagram”. Then I realized that it isn’t Monday, it is Friday. Not that I’m complaining…I would much rather it FEEL like Monday than actually BE Monday. Holidays screw me up. Anyway, I hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July! Wes and I had a great (hot) time hiking in the greenbelt and exercising our all American right to eat out for every meal! haha! Here is a little sneak peak of what we did yesterday:

July 4th 21. Yes, I understand it is not normal to change your outfit 3 times a day….But, I am not normal.
2. These tacos were SO good!
3. The baby deer in our neighborhood with her Momma.
4. My American flag scarf from Target that I LOVE.
It was a really fun day, but now back to reality……for one day! :) I hope everyone else had as wonderful a day as we did. There will be more outfits next week, I promise! Thanks for stopping by!

Sunday Funday!

Happy Sunday Lovelies!

Today is Sunday Funday, the perfect day for a comfy, casual, yet still cute outfit! The hubby and I celebrated Sunday Funday by having brunch at one of our FAVORITE restaurants, Austin Java. If you live in the Austin area and haven’t been there, you NEED to go. They have the best Green Chile Tomatillo Eggs Benedict….may sound different, but it is sooo delicious! Well, here is the brunch outfit for today:

All That Glitters: Yellow Sandals with Printed Skirt

All That Glitters: Yellow Handbag

All That Glitters: Yellow Wedges and printed skirt

Skirt: Delia’s
Top: Wet Seal
Sandals: I don’t remember, they are older, but the bottom says “Jaclyn Smith”
Earrings: Forever 21
Wedges: Charlotte Russe
Handbag: Charming Charlie
Camera Ring: Kohls
Bracelets: Pandora and Charming Charlie

Of course, you have to have an option to dress it all up a little bit and I love wedges. Wedges are WAY more comfortable than heels, but I won’t lie I definitely took these off after pictures and went with the sandals today:)

Hope you all enjoyed Sunday Sunday! Oh, and Happy Father’s Day!

Trend Alert: Peplum Top

Hello Ladies!

Today’s outfit includes one of my favorite trends: the peplum top. I love peplum tops for two reasons 1. They are so girlie, which is so very me and 2. They are so flattering. Tight at the top to show of your assets and loose right around the stomach, which is where most people have something to hide, haha!

Colored pants are great because you can do so many things to them and they always look just a little bit dressier than plain, old jeans:) Red and black are the colors today, hope you enjoy!

Flats: Payless Shoes

Jewelery: Charming Charlie

These are the MOST comfortable flats I own. They were buy one get one half off so I got a nude pair as well and I honestly wish I would have gotten more! Well, that is all for today! I hope you enjoyed!

My Addictive Personality

Hello Everyone!

I am new to the blogging world, so bear with me:) I realized after hours (and I mean HOURS) of browsing Pinterest and other people’s blogs that I am addicted…..to SO many things. Food I won’t be able to make, fashion I won’t fit in to, decorating a house I don’t have, crafting awesome things (usually for the kids I don’t have), and a million other things. I figured if I’m going to spend so much time thinking about these things I might as well write all my thoughts down. So, <drumroll> here they are!

Now, just a little bit about me before I get started…

I met my husband when we were 16, we were in a play together. I was the new girl and he was the goofy, yet charming theater guy. This is us in the 11th grade:

Prom

We ended up at prom together senior year, this is us again (Yes, I realize it looks like a wedding photo, so did the woman developing my film. Yes, they still had film back then).

We went to a small liberal arts school together and graduated in 2009. After college we moved in together and had fun living and growing together until he proposed to me in July of 2011.

We then moved to Austin, Texas together in November 2011 and made a long trip back to Michigan to be married on August 10, 2012.
