My Undying Love For Leopard Print

Hi Lovelies!

I have loved leopard print for as long as I can remember. Even before it was popular. Yeah, that’s right….I loved leopard even when it was uncool to love leopard. Remember this post? Yeah, that is where the burgundy and leopard mixture obsession started…..and well, it hasn’t ended. I L-O-V-E this combination! In fact, I really just love everything about this outfit! These burgundy jeans from H&M are so comfortable, this is my favorite sweater, I obviously just stated how I feel about leopard, and I love the touch of pale pink under the sweater! (Can you tell I’ve been in a pink mood this week? hehe:))

I had originally planned on getting a burgundy skirt to go with all of my leopard print, but I haven’t been able to find one that I like. Well, other than this beauty here….but I can’t justify to myself spending $88 on one skirt…unless its black.

Anyone else see a cute burgundy skirt I can snatch up?

Until tomorrow…

A Little Scarf Goes A Long Way

Hi Lovelies!

This scarf if one of my fabulous finds from New York City. I spent a grand total of $5 on it! Yeah, that’s right, $5…I am such a good bargain hunter! I saw one just like it on Pinterest and knew exactly what I was looking for when I was walking around the city shopping.I love how something as simple as a scarf can make an entire outfit seem less plain.

Isn’t it beautiful? I was in Target and there was only 1 left…talk about meant to be!?! I would have to say so! I have SUCH a thing for leopard print (and not just this season, forever) and mustard….well we all know how I feel about mustard!

I’m not sure if you can tell too well in the photos, but this top has tiny gold dots all over it. Tiny, glittery little dots and a Peter Pan collar, what more could a girl want? This is pretty much my new favorite outfit. So much so, that I have worn it 3 times already! This was my outfit for 2 of the Broadway shows we saw in New York City….and I may or may not have worn it again yesterday to work:)

Did you get anything from the Phillip Lim For Target Collection? How did you style it?

Until tomorrow…

New York City In Burgundy and Polka Dots: Day 1

Hi Lovelies!

It’s time to tell you all about the trip to NYC! First, let me just say that if you have never been to New York City, you need to go. I have been 3 times and lived there for 4 months…and I would go back again in a heart beat. So here it goes, day 1 of my trip to NYC…

On Wednesday I took a half day from work and Wes drove me to the airport. The trip from Austin to Dallas was great, it was the trip from Dallas to New York that was an absolute nightmare. I met my mom and dad on the plane since my connection was so short, and we were just about to take off……..and then we stopped moving. 3.5 hours, 2 free granola bars, 6 glasses of water, and a trip to the cockpit later, and we were finally on our way. We arrived at our hotel on Manhattan at 3am and passed out immediately.

The next morning we woke up and made a quick trip to visit the house I used to live in. It was such a great experience and going to see it really brought back all of the great memories. I’m so glad we stopped by:) After we left “305”, we walked down to Canal Street/Chinatown and did a little bit of shopping/wandering around. Little Italy was right next to Chinatown, so we had lunch at this cute little place called Caffe Napoli.

After lunch, we decided to go see that 9/11 memorial. On the way we stopped by this really pretty church that had a graveyard with tombstones dating back to the 1700’s. It was right next to ground zero and during the attacks many people took refuge in the church. It may seem really weird, but I was fascinated by all of the old tombstones, they almost didn’t look real. The 9/11 memorial was absolutely beautiful, there are two giant fountains in the spots where the two towers stood surrounded by hundreds of trees and a beautiful park.

We ended the day seeing Motown on Broadway. It was SO good! I especially enjoyed the Jackson 5 parts, Michael Jackson is one of my all time favorites. Now, as I told you a couple of weeks ago in my New York Wish List post, I wanted to take some awesome pictures while I was in New York. I don’t know how fabulous they are, but I think I got some good shots. Here are some of my photos from the day, no captions necessary:)
