Red, White, and Blue in Austin

Red white and blue outfit 2015

It’s red, white, and blue time y’all! I have had this top for a few years now, and I always seem to wear it around the 4th. I love that you can style it in so many different ways and make so many outfits from it. This year I went with the simple white tank and denim shorts. I threw in a cute patriotic necklace for a little spice and some comfy polka dot Keds because, really, who doesn’t like Keds?

I can’t believe that 4th of July week is finally here! I am so excited for a weekend of family, food, and celebrating the love of my wonderful sister and her fiance! I am so excited and I just can’t hide it:) It’s going to be an amazing weekend and I will be sure to update you all via Instagram as it happens! I would love if you would come on over and follow along if you aren’t already:)

I took a little hike up to the 360 bridge look out this weekend and it was beautiful! I am so surprised I had never done it before! As you can see in the photos, you can see for miles and even catch a little glimpse of the city off in the distance. Wes and I bought a new camera a few weekends ago and I was eager to try it out and get a little artsy. I love how they all turned out and looking at them just makes me so thankful to live in such a beautiful place!

I don’t have a whole lot else to say today, but I hope that you all join me this weekend on Instagram! I will be back soon!

1 Cardigans  //  2 Burgundy Pumps  //  3 Midi Skirt  //  4 Plaid Bow  //  5 Houndstooth Pumps  //  6 Leopard Pumps

I have been finding some REALLY great deals on the cutest stuff lately and I just wanted to share some of them with you:)

1. These cardigans from Target are so cute! They are also on sale BOGO 50% off right now, which is awesome and make it $35 for both! I got the leopard and the polka dots, but they have a few other cute patterns including one in the same pattern as this dress.

2. These burgundy pumps are SO comfy! I always try heels on, think they are comfy, and then cry or change half way through the day but these weren’t like that! I wore them all day at work and my feet didn’t feel like they wanted to die! These are also BOGO 50% and come in 4 colors including teal which I am fighting the urge to buy:)

3. I actually got this skirt in black and in the pink. So cute. be aware that they do run a bit small though. So cute and I plan to wear it with all of my new pumps:) Oh yeah, and it’s $19.90…seriously a skirt for under $20? No wonder I bought 2!

4. This bow is larger than like and I LOVE it. Plaid is already selling out everywhere and this bow is only $2.80. Can you possibly find a cuter and cheaper way to add a little plaid to your outfit?

5. Ok, so I went a little over board with the shoes, but I just couldn’t help myself when I saw these on the commercial! Houndstooth is my stuff! Also, $14.99 and not a super high heel…sign me up. I’m ALL about a good deal!

6. Last pair of pumps for a while…lol! I needed leopard heels. And by need I meant I keep seeing them everywhere and then when I click the links they lead me to $100 leopard heels. Umm….$100 for LEOPARD shoes? Not happening….leopard may always be in style, but I just can’t justify that. These on the other hand are only $19.99 so obviously I put them in my cart right along side those houndstooth babies up there:)

Have you found any great steals lately?

My New Obsession: Keds

Diffferent Patterned Keds

Hi Lovelies!

I haven’t been feeling well for about a week or so now, so you’ll have to excuse my absence yesterday. I was in Dallas all weekend for my nephew’s baptism, and didn’t get home until late Sunday night. Well, when I woke up Monday morning, my head felt like it was going to explode. Needless to say, I don’t have an outfit post planned for today. But, I do have something to share with you….a new obsession! Keds. Well, kind of like Kleenex and Snack Packs, they aren’t really Keds they’re from Target/Payless, but they are Keds style:)

I am in love with all of them and have NOT been able to stop wearing them! They look adorable with pretty much everything. Dresses? Check! Shorts? Check! Boyfriend jeans? Check! Which I got a pair of by the way…I was really unsure of boyfriend jeans, but found a pair I think I like. I haven’t taken the tags off yet and I want to try them on here at home, but we shall see….

What do you wear your Keds with?

Horizontal Stripes Are Not The Enemy

Black and white striped skirtHi Lovelies!

Here’s to hoping that today is a better day than yesterday in terms of EVERYTHING. It was just one of those days yesterday. I was so unproductive…I am going to blame the weather. When it’s gloomy and cold outside Megan doesn’t do very well with motivation. Everything was just off yesterday: the weather was awful, my ankle hurt, I didn’t feel very good, it was just a blah day. Heres to a better day today! Woohoo!

I really wasn’t excited about this skirt when I tried it on because of the whole ‘horizontal stripes make you look fat’ thing, but I am really glad I didn’t listen to my instincts this time! I love this skirt! It’s really comfortable for a pencil skirt and it goes with pretty much anything. If you remember a while ago I styled it here with a polka dot shirt and some yellow accessories and it looked fab then too!  I would totally wear this look with some black tights and a cardigan for work, or as is to go out with the girls on Friday night:) Versatile outfits are my best friend:)

How would you style a striped pencil skirt?

Fall Colors And A Fitness Issue

Hi Lovelies!

The colors are here. Well, sort of…they are starting to show at least! There is a red tree down the street from me and lots of yellow ones popping up all over! Eek! Who doesn’t love a little bit of fall color? :)

I really do love fall, especially here in Texas where you can have 65 degree days AND 85 degree days:) But, is anyone else having issues trying to work out with this whole time change thing? For some reason it has been SO much harder for me to get the motivation to work out when it’s dark outside so early. I ran 2.5 miles around my neighborhood last night, but I literally had to FORCE myself to do it. Argh! I’ve been doing so well and I cannot let it all go because darkness makes me unmotivated…lol! I’m also thinking about running a half marathon. My best friend and I have been talking about it for a month or so now, and I think it’s about time to take the plunge and just sign up for it. If I sign up for it I can’t back out, right? Right! Now, it’s time for that motivation to come back…..

How do you keep motivated to work out?

Until tomorrow…
