Rainy Days

Hi Lovelies!

I love the rain.I love to dance in it, sing in it, kiss in it, twirl in it. When you add a bit of thunder and lightening, I am in heaven. Thunderstorms are my absolute favorite. I could sit and do nothing but watch the lightening all night long and just be happy. I don’t know what it is about the rain….maybe because it makes me feel cozy- It makes me feel like cuddling all day long and watching movies. Rainy days are the best.

Unfortunately, rainy days don’t make me very productive. When I’m at work and it’s raining all chances of productivity go down the drain. Then there’s that whole blogging thing. I kind of need pictures of outfits in order to run a fashion blog. Well, lucky me, I was busy on Saturday and Sunday with our best friend from out of town, and didn’t take any pictures other than of my Halloween costume, which you have already seen.  Now, I’m stuck with this collage of rain gear, because it is supposed to rain for the next 3 days and I thought it would be fitting. So, don’t hate me if you came here today to see a pretty outfit post….I promise you I will get my act together soon.:)

Rainy Days

If it rained for the rest of my life, I would buy everything in that picture. First of all, yellow is the best color to wear in the rain. I mean look at those ducks, they are snazzy! They really are just adorable, although I feel like they should only be displayed when it’s raining and I am not putting something out just for a rainy day. Ain’t nobody got time for that. The boots, jacket, and umbrella are cute and practical. They would have done a good job keeping me dry this week….maybe I should invest. (Of course, the second I go buy them, it won’t rain again for months!

What’s your favorite part about rainy days?

Until tomorrow…

Mustard: Two Ways

Hi Lovelies,

Last night’s party was a hit! That being said, I am exhausted and alas, I do not have an outfit post for you today. Sorry! What I do have for you is two wonderful ways to wear mustard this fall. Yellow is one of my favorite colors (right behind pink) and it makes me so happy that this shade allows for yellow to be taken in to fall!  I really want to recreate this black and white look when I go to NYC in a few weeks. Oh, by the way, I am going to NYC in a few weeks! Yeah, nice way to sneak that in there….don’t be too jealous:) I will be sure to take millions of pictures and update you all on how the trip is when I get back! So, anyways, outfit #1…super comfortable, but still cute and fashionable:

Outfit #2 brings in a little bit of navy. Which, in my opinion, looks absolutely perfect with mustard. Love this one too…

I Love Three Day Weekends

Hi Lovelies!

Happy Friday! I am so excited that it is labor day weekend! There’s nothing better than a 3 day weekend where the one thing on everybody’s mind is water! We’re planning on floating down the river down in San Marcos this weekend which I haven’t done in years, so I’m pretty pumped! Even in the water, it is always the right time to look cute:) This is what I wish I was wearing this labor day weekend:

And then there is what I probably will be wearing this labor day weekend….something I already own. Boo. I just need to remember, I have about 20 bathing suits and T shirts in my drawer and I do NOT need any more…. a day in the life of a shopaholic!
What will YOU be wearing this labor day?
Until next time…

Comfy In Aztec Print? Yes, Please!

Hi Lovelies!

I know I’ve already said it, but I don’t think I can tell you enough times just HOW pumped I am for fall fashion! I have been seeing these over-sized tribal sweaters circulating Pinterest for a few weeks now and I have decided that I NEED one! Now I just need to decide WHICH one I need? Anyone else see cute ones out there?!

Fall

I really like the idea of the big comfy sweater with thick leggings/pants and some boots. Talk about being comfortable at work! :) I might even throw on a colored tank under this one to give it a little pop of something bright. That makes two more items to add to my list of must haves this fall, layering tanks and cognac boots! And the list goes on ….I will be broke come Christmas, mark my words!

How will you wear a chunky over-sized sweater this fall?

Early Fall Style: Leopard, Emerald, and Burgundy

Hello there Lovelies!

I am a summer person. I love the sun, lakes, flip flops, sundresses, tank tops….It is my favorite time of the year. Fall makes me sad, because it means that winter is coming….but fall makes the fashion side of me oh so happy. Fall fashion is my favorite:) I love boots and scarves. I love deep jewel tones and browns. I was inspired by Shanna from Because Shanna Said So and her outfit yesterday. She had this adorable burgundy maxi styled with a leopard clutch and it made me want leopard and burgundy in my closet….NOW! So, here is my take on an early fall style. I only say early for you northerners out there….here in Austin I can wear this deep into November…but for all of you Northerners out there I will say EARLY.

Early Fall Style- Leopard, Emerald, and Burgundy

Emerald and burgundy together is another one of my favorite things. It looks so classy paired together.

What are some of your favorite fall colors?
Is there anyone else out there who just can’t wait for fall fashion to start?

Until tomorrow…
