12 Days of Christmas Crafts Day 12: Eco-Friendly Giftwrap

12 days of Christmas Crafts

Hi Lovelies!

It’s the last day of Christmas crafts! Today’s post really isn’t a craft, but let’s be honest, I’m running out of great ideas for crafts! Haha! So, today I will show you a cute and easy way to wrap gifts! It’s a great eco-friendly and cheap, but still cute idea! NEWSPAPER! Take your old newspaper and wrap your gifts and then get some cute Christmasy ribbons to wrap around them. The ribbons help to make each package individual and different:) This is one of my favorite ways to wrap and it saves a TON of money not having to buy a $7 roll of wrapping paper!

Do you have any fun/unusual ways to wrap your gifts?!

12 Days Of Christmas Crafts Day 11: Christmas Sparkle Frames

12 days of Christmas Crafts

Hi Lovelies!

Today’s craft is very easy and doesn’t require a whole lot of new supplies.  I took a frame that was already up in my house, wrapping paper, scissors, and some sparkly ornaments that I had from previous crafts.

Christmas Sparkle Frame

Cut a small piece of wrapping paper and fold it around the glass from the frame so that it fits perfectly into the frame.

Put the glittery ornament inside the frame and place the paper in behind it. The close the frame and put it up on your wall!

Or place it on your shelf:) Easy peasy Christmas craft #11 done!

12 Days Of Christmas Crafts Day 10: Christmas Bow Pillow

12 days of Christmas Crafts

Hi Lovelies!

Today’s craft doesn’t have step by step pictures…they were awful! Haha! You can’t see well enough in pictures so I will explain it as best as I can.

I bought chevron Christmas fabric and the bow is actually made out of an extra white pillow case. I started with a rectangular piece of the chevron fabric and folded it in half, while inside out, to be a square. I then sewed along 2 sides. Sew along the 3rd side most of the way across and then turn the pillowcase the correct side out. Stuff the pillow with either a pillow or stuffing and hand sew the rest of the case shut.

For the bow, I cut a long strip of the white pillow case, using the bottom end of the pillow case (the closed end) and the edge of the pillow case. Turn the fabric inside out and sew down the entire open long side. Pull the fabric right side out and then sew the 2 short ends that are left together. You will now have a loop of fabric. Make another loop, this one much smaller, for the center of the bow. Slide the small loop onto the larger loop as you can see in the picture below and it will make a bow!

DIY Christmas Bow Pillow

You can use fabric glue to attach the bow to the pillow, or you can hand sew it on with a few stitches in each corner! I know it’s a little rough to understand without pictures, but like I said, the ones I took were awful! Have questions? Ask them below and I will do my best to answer them!

Until next time…

12 Days Of Christmas Crafts Day 9: Candy Cane Snowflake

12 days of Christmas Crafts

Hi Lovelies!

Today’s craft is something I found on Pinterest. I then clicked on it and found no link…just a picture! Gah! I hate it when that happens. I have googled “candy cane snowflake” and can’t find instructions anywhere…soooo I had to make it up as I went.

Start with a couple of packages of candy canes. I needed 18, but you will need more or less depending on how big they are. Take 2 candy canes and use packaging tape to stick them together backwards as shown below. I used packaging tape because it is the clearest.

Once you have all of your pairs taped together start taping together the bottoms. It won’t look very pretty with all the tape, but you will cover up the middle anyways so it won’t matter.

Candy Cane Snowflakes DIY

Find something circular to tape to the center. I used this glittery snowflake, but you can use any decorative item you would like! Hot glue or tape it into the center and tie a piece of string at the top. You’re done! Isn’t she pretty?!?!

12 Days Of Christmas Crafts Day 8: Scrabble Tile Ornaments

12 days of Christmas CraftsHi Lovelies!

There is officially less than a week until Christmas and I get more and more excited as the days go on! You know what that means…I just get more and more crafty! Haha! I saw today’s craft on another blog through Pinterest the other day, and knew I just had to make it! It’s super easy and I already had all of the materials.

To begin you will need a glue gun, ribbon (I used left overs from the ribbon wreath I made), Scrabble tiles, and a lighter!

Scrabble Ornaments

Once you have all of your supplies, pick out the words you want to make with the Scrabble letters!

Brush the lighter along the end of the ribbon to stop it from fraying. Then, one by one, hot glue the Scrabble letters on to the ribbon. Before you glue down the last letter, make a loop with the ribbon and hot glue it to itself.

Step by Step Scrabble Ornament Instructions

Then place the first letter of the word on top of the looped ribbon.
