Old Navy has been ON it’s game lately! You know, there was a stage a while back where I was sick of Old Navy and everything was just too basic, but these last couple of seasons have been amazing! This dress! I first saw it on Shanna’s blog a few weeks ago and I bought it right then and there! I love how she styled hers with cowboy boots and a brown bag for a more casual look, but I decided to go with a more dressed up styling. I wore this to do a little shopping last weekend and I cannot tell you how many compliments I got on it. I have been DYING to find a red plaid dress ever since this post last winter. I tried so hard last year to find one, but the dress in that post was sold out:( I am SO glad I finally found one, and I know it is months too soon for it but this is going to be my Christmas Eve dress! I’ll add some black tights and gold sparkly heels…maybe even a little green hair bow to bring in the “Christmas colors”? Done and done, only 3 months early!

Three day weekends really do make the entire week FLY by! I can’t believe it is already Thursday! I guess it also helps that I have been beyond busy this entire week at work. We have our annual company anniversary party next week and I am in charge of the entire thing! Oh, what to wear?! Haha! Pale pink and grey is a color scheme I have been in love with since the invention of Pinterest. I am pretty sure that one of the first outfits I pinned was pale pink and grey. I am so excited to add my grey cardigan to this outfit come fall, but for right now it’s just too darn hot. It’s hard to see the pale pink detail in the peplum, but it is what drew me to this top. I knew it would match this necklace and crossbody, plus it was on super clearance. Score for me!

Is It Fall Yet?

I love summer. It is by far my favorite season of the year, but I LOVE fall fashion. I love wearing tights and boots with my dresses. I love scarves. I love dressing up an oversized sweater with a little bit of lace. I love this dress. I was walking through Target last week, trying to find a few last minute summer outfits on clearance, and I walked by this little number. I don’t know what it is that drew me to it, but I’m going to say it was probably the fit. Excuse my second day hair, I really need to get a trim:) Speaking of which, if I come around these parts asking you whether or not to get bangs again….SAY NO! I got them back in January and loved them for the first…oooh day or so. Apparently my bangs are the only part of my hair that just doesn’t want to grow because they seem to never come back in fast enough! Hi Lovelies!

There’s not a whole lot to say today except for I am exhausted. This whole waking up at 4:45 thing has worn me out…so much so that I have pretty much been in bed at 9:00 every night this week. It feels really great when I am at bootcamp at 5:30. The sun is rising, the air is crisp (ha, as crisp as it gets in Texas), and I am sweating up a storm. Then 3PM rolls around and I want to fall asleep at my desk. This outfit from yesterday really helped to liven up my mood:) I love the bright colors and the little sailboats are just the cutest!
