Stripes & Plaid

How to- pattern mixing with stripes and plaid

Happy hump day! I cannot believe it is Wednesday again already! It really is true that the older you get the faster it goes. <sigh> Week two of project get healthy has been going pretty well. I have been eating much better foods than usual and less of them. I can already feel an increase in my energy level, now if only I could get rid of these allergies so I could get a whole 8 hours every night! Our gym STILL hasn’t opened yet which I am really annoyed about, but it should be soon fingers crossed!Pattern mix- plaid blanket scarf with striped shirt Plaid and stripes pattern mix- love this blanket scarf Plaid blanket scarf with a striped top Zara look a like blanket scarf with a striped top Pattern mixing and a monogram necklace Gold monogrammed necklaceGet The Look:

This outfit is perfect for the weather we have been having in Austin lately. It has been BEYOND cold for Texas and I have not been enjoying it. This scarf has been my savior for those frosty mornings in my car on the way to work. I tried to hold off on getting a blanket scarf until I really felt like I needed it, and boy am I glad I have it now! I hope everyone is staying warm wherever you are! Have a great day and thanks for reading!

My October Favorites

My oh my, I cannot believe that it is November already. I’m pretty sure I say that at the beginning of every month week. It’s just crazy to me how fast the time is going by. Before you know it, it will be December 24th and Christmas will be here! Although, going in to stores this weekend, you would think Christmas was tomorrow! The Christmas decorations are out and in full force, I can’t believe some stores didn’t even wait until Halloween was over. I won’t lie to you though, I already have a list of great Christmas crafts I’m going to get on pretty soon for my 12 days of Christmas crafts posts in December. But, let’s not get ahead of ourselves here, it’s still November 3rd. So, in honor of Halloween month officially being over, I will leave you with my favorite outfits for the month of October. Enjoy!

Polka Dot And Floral: A Scarf For Spring

Fraas polka dot scarf

Hi Lovelies!

When I was asked to share this FRAAS scarf with you guys I was a little concerned that it would be too hot out for me to get it on to the blog, but I was determined to find a way! It’s hard to tell in pictures, but it is very lightweight which makes it perfect for spring! There are so many fun ways to tie a scarf, most of which are listed here, but you have to remember that tying a scarf too tight when it’s warmer outside is just going to make you uncomfortable and claustrophobic. This tying style is perfect for the Texas spring weather since it is so warm down here already.

With all of this heat, it can be so easy to just fall into a boring yet comfortable clothing rut. Sometimes you just need to jazz up your outfit a little bit, and bright accessories like this polka dot scarf are a great way to do that! You know me, I LOVE polka dots, so this one is the perfect one for me, but they have hundreds of scarves that are just as lightweight, soft, and fun to choose from on the Fraas website as well as on Amazon! This one in particular is $32, so they are pretty affordable and are great for spring!

Denim Dots And Floral Mix

Hi Lovelies!

Talk about crazy weather! Saturday was 70 degrees….yesterday was 40. All of my friends and family in Michigan got over 14 inches of snow last night…..I would have to say that according to all the apocalypse movies, the world is going to end pretty soon. That’s how it all starts people! And this is why I shouldn’t watch such movies…they go to my head:) Haha! No, but really….if it’s going to be cold it needs to just be cold. No more of this teasing!

Today’s outfit is perfect for this time of year in Texas. It’s all about the layers. When you go to work it’s 35 degrees, by lunch it’s 50-60 degrees and time to take off that top layer:)

Old Navy has been rockin’ it lately, in my opinion. I was never a huge fan up until about a year ago when there was one right next to the place I worked. I really think I became addicted to going in there on my breaks, and they have REALLY stepped up their game! Have you found anything cute at Old Navy lately?

Until tomorrow…
