Thanksgiving Wear 2014

Casual Thanksgiving Wear

Thanksgiving is just over a week away and I don’t know about you, but I cannot wait for mashed potatoes and gravy! I like the turkey and all, but I am more of a side dish girl. Give me green bean casserole, stuffing, and mashed potatoes with gravy and I’m set for life:) Well, obviously I have been thinking about my Thanksgiving day outfit for weeks now and today I’m showing you my ideas! One for the casual Thanksgiving setting, like mine…and one for if you are getting a little more dressed up for the big day! I am in LOVE with the scarf and cardigan in that first outfit…and those shoes! I need some oxfords! The glittery top in the second outfit is something I may need to invest in as well. It could be used for all sorts of holidays:) Enjoy!Dressy Thanksgiving Wear

Polka Dots and Teal

Polka dot sweater with a teal shirt

I am back from my 3 day weekend and I am SO tired! It was such a great weekend with our friends and I’m sad it’s over already. I love that our group of friends has stayed in touch so well and that we have such a great time when we’re all back together. I’m pretty sure I have eaten more food since they got in on Thursday than I usually do in two weeks time…no joke. Time to get back on the work out train and start my training schedule for the half marathon in March. Polka dot cardigan with teal button down Polka dots layered with teal top Polka dots and pearls Polka dot outfit inspiration Monogrammed gold bangle braceletGet The Look:

This outfit is from last week and I love it! Layering is one of my favorite parts of fall and winter style and I have been dying to style this teal button down again since this post last fall. Once again, this polka dot sweater has been on repeat since I bought it earlier in the fall. It’s so comfortable and you really can’t go wrong with polka dots.  I’m still trying to play catch up from a busy weekend, so we’ll see if I make it back with a post tomorrow. If not, I will see you all on Thursday!

Polka Dots And Plaid: Getting Brave With Pattern Mixing

Pattern Mixing with plaid and polka dots

Really y’all…I am getting SO brave with this pattern mixing thing, and this outfit makes me SO excited! I love the colors, I love the patterns, I love the red lips. I love this outfit. I have read so many posts about “rules” for pattern mixing. I’ve even written a few about “tips” for pattern mixing. I have to say, after this outfit, throw all of that out the window. If you like it, I say go for it:) That has really been my motto for the past few months. I am trying to get over the self conscious, “What do other people think?” that goes on it my brain, and just go for what I like and what makes me feel awesome. This one makes me feel awesome.
