Red, White, and Blue in Austin

Red white and blue outfit 2015

It’s red, white, and blue time y’all! I have had this top for a few years now, and I always seem to wear it around the 4th. I love that you can style it in so many different ways and make so many outfits from it. This year I went with the simple white tank and denim shorts. I threw in a cute patriotic necklace for a little spice and some comfy polka dot Keds because, really, who doesn’t like Keds?

I can’t believe that 4th of July week is finally here! I am so excited for a weekend of family, food, and celebrating the love of my wonderful sister and her fiance! I am so excited and I just can’t hide it:) It’s going to be an amazing weekend and I will be sure to update you all via Instagram as it happens! I would love if you would come on over and follow along if you aren’t already:)

I took a little hike up to the 360 bridge look out this weekend and it was beautiful! I am so surprised I had never done it before! As you can see in the photos, you can see for miles and even catch a little glimpse of the city off in the distance. Wes and I bought a new camera a few weekends ago and I was eager to try it out and get a little artsy. I love how they all turned out and looking at them just makes me so thankful to live in such a beautiful place!

I don’t have a whole lot else to say today, but I hope that you all join me this weekend on Instagram! I will be back soon!

Seersucker And Red Lips

Blue seersucker shorts with red handbag

Holiday weekends are my favorite! I love that feeling on Sunday when you remember that you have an entire extra day to do what you want. I started a huge project this weekend that I am SUPER pumped about. I am building my very own dream closet, and I spent all weekend planning and beginning it all.  I have been Pinteresting amazing closets for a while and put together everything I loved from each of them to make the perfect closet for me.  I’ll be sure to keep y’all up to date with my progress and show how it looks when it’s all done:)recipeboxpins@gmail.com Blue sunglasses with red and white Anchor sunglasses with red white and blue outfit Red white and blue outfit for summer Red white and blue seersucker Seersucker outfit Red white and blue in the Austin greenbelt Austin Greenbelt Seersucker shorts with white button down White button down top on All That Glitters blog White top with gold chain necklaceGet The Look:

Today’s outfit is casual and versatile, two of the best qualities of an outfit in my opinion. I wore this for our family pictures up in Michigan back in July, but I also wore it for a little stroll in the greenbelt followed by a trip to Central Market. These shorts are super comfy, but I wish I would have gotten one size down because they do stretch out a lot. PS: Can we talk about how a red lip makes any outfit look fabulous? This outfit would be so-so without those lips, but that pop of color ties in with the red accessories and dresses up the casual a little bit.

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend, if you have a post about it let me know in the comments below and I’ll be sure to check it out:) And lastly, has anyone out there redone their closets recently? Tips, tricks, advice all welcome:)

Red White and Blue In Plus Sizes

Hi Lovelies!

I am so excited to talk about something really great today. Modcloth. Yes, yes, I know you all know what Modcloth is (and if you don’t you should probably head on over and get ready to spend a LOT of doll hairs…) but they are one of the only online boutiques I know of that offers plus-size clothing. I cannot tell you how many times I have gotten compliments on something I have worn, but unfortunately the clothing from certain shops isn’t offered in anything bigger than a large. To be 100% honest, I think it’s pretty pathetic that I am one of the biggest sizes some retailers even offer. So let’s celebrate ModCloth today for their super exciting milestone– the one-year anniversary of officially launching their plus-size clothing line! Go check out their full-range fashion page in their Style Gallery. It has a bunch of community-uploaded photos that feature items from ModCloth that are available in a full size range. Why? Because fashion should be for all!

Nautical Inspiration

Cut nautical inspired red white and blue outfit

Hi Lovelies!

This last week has been SO busy for Wes and I, but it has been totally worth it! We are officially homeowners and have moved most of our stuff into our new house! I have been going crazy trying to get everything unpacked and in place, hence why I didn’t have a post prepared for yesterday:) I do have a great outfit for you today though! This one is nautically inspired, which is really the best when it’s 80 and sunny outside like it has been here in Austin. This Target skirt is one of my favorites, because I can pair pretty much any color with the navy and it looks adorable. It’s super comfortable too. I bought it last year, but they always seem to have the same skirt in different patterns and such every year.

These tanks from Target are my ABSOLUTE favorites! I just so happened to be strolling through Target the other day and notice that they were on sale for $6. Obviously I grabbed one in every color and have been wearing them constantly since. They are so soft and comfortable, and I love that they look fine all by themselves without looking cheap. They aren’t $6 anymore, but according to Target.com, if you buy 2 you save 10%, and if you buy 3 you save 20%. Enjoy!
