Black Floral Shift

Old Navy Shift DressIt’s been such a busy week for me. I’ve had so much to do at work and I have finally been getting back to working out after a week of having bronchitis. On top of that, I’ve had a lot of orders to fill and I’ve been trying to get my house back into shape after not feeling like cleaning with my illness. Needless to say, blogging on Monday and Tuesday didn’t happen, but even though it’s late I was bound and determined to get a style post up tonight! Woohoo! It is what I wore Wednesday after all, eh? Haha! Today’s outfit is one of my recent faves. I am so glad that I bought this dress earlier in the summer because I have worn it SO many times! It’s comfy AND it’s cute…oh and the necklace I got in my rocksbox back when I bought it matched so well that I bought it:) Tehehe!Rocksbox statement necklaceOld Navy black and floral dressCoral and green outfitBlack and green floral dressInitial bangle braceletBlack floral Old Navy Shift DressGet The Look:

I knew that I needed to keep this necklace when I wore it to dinner with my parents and my Mom told me that it looked like it was made for this dress. She talked me into it…you know, really twisted my arm;-) Haha! You can get your first month of Rocksbox for free with the code meganbff58. Who doesn’t want free designer jewelry in their mailbox?! :)Well, I’m off for the night…I will see you lovelies later!

Stripes & Floral For Easter

Pastel-Floral-and-stripes
This past weekend was so beautiful and so much fun, I was so bummed when Sunday night rolled around. Don’t get me wrong, I love my job….but the weekend is what we all live for, am I right? My best friend came in from Houston to visit, and we ran a 10k on Saturday morning. The rest of the weekend was filled with shopping, food, and gossip. It was a much needed girls weekend that we plan to continue on next weekend when i go visit her in Houston! Her hubby is going out of town for a bachelor party and I’m sure mine will find something to do at home with the dog:) This outfit will be the one I wear on Easter in Houston. We’ll probably go get brunch and have some mimosas before I have to head back to reality here in Austin.

When Heather and I went shopping this weekend, we stopped in to Old Navy and I have to say, they are on point so far for spring/summer clothes! We had gone to H&M beforehand and I was SO disappointed that everything seemed to be fall and winter colors still! The second March hits, we Texans are in spring/summer mode and need some BRIGHT colors and sundresses in our lives! Thankfully, Old Navy had both, and I came out with this dress and blazer as well as a few other things I’ll show you over the next few weeks! I picked up the dress first, and then when I saw the blazer I knew exactly what I was going to do with them. It turned out exactly as I had hoped and I am in love:) What will you be wearing for Easter?

Making The Average Pop

Black and white and pink outfit- from Kendra Scott and Old Navy

What an absolutely beautiful weekend we had here! The sun was shining, it was a beautiful temperature, and I wore dresses the entire time:) It felt like such a productive weekend too! I got in over 17,000 steps on my Jawbone Saturday, went for a 2.63 mile run, made a great new recipe, did some housework, and still managed to spend some time hangin’ with the husband watching New Girl on Netflix! <Sigh> Is it Friday again yet?

Today’s outfit is one from the beautiful weekend. This dress from Old Navy has been one of my favorites since I bought it last fall and I have been dying to wear it again in some warm weather, WITHOUT tights! Sometimes all it takes to add a little pizazz (yes, I just said the word pizazz) to an outfit is throwing in a pop of color. It’s amazing how one bright color can liven up the entire black and white outfit! For those of your questioning a Kendra Scott purchase like the Rayne necklace, let me just tell you I LOVE mine. I had thought about this magenta one for MONTHS before I actually bought up the courage to spend the $$$, but it was well worth the wait. I have worn this baby with so many different outfits and it always, without a doubt MAKES the entire outfit. Pick a color that will pop, but will match a lot of your clothing and you should be good to go. I also have it in the black and gold which I love for outfits that are already bright, but the magenta is by far my favorite. I am a pink girl after all:) #ilovepink

The Pink Poodle

PInk-Poodle-Lounge-Photo-Backdrop

I love finding the perfect background for photos. I saw a picture of the Pink Poodle Lounge online somewhere a while back and I knew I had to find it and take outfit photos in front of it. To start, pink is my favorite color, and really, that poodle is just amazing! There are so many fun, eclectic places around Austin, I feel like I’m just starting (3 years in) to find some of the coolest ones:) This lounge is unfortunately closed, but I am so glad they hadn’t sold the place and painted over the mural before I got a chance to pose in front of it:)

This hair style has become one of my favorites lately. My bangs are growing out, and they are at kind of an awkward stage right now. That little braid helps to hide all of the awkwardness that is behind it:) Haha! It’s really easy, maybe I’ll have to do my very first vlog ever and give a little tutorial? We shall see:)

On to the outfit. These pants are the best. I got them at Old Navy last year and they are so freakin’ comfy! When I first bought them I was all self conscious that they would make my thighs look thunderous, but when I wore them around for a bit those fears were masked my the comfort of los pantalones. Now, they don’t have this same print anymore, but they have others and you can get 20% off your order online with the code up there under the pictures! Well, I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! See you next week!

Sundress Weather

Coral dress with nude wedges

Hi Lovelies!

This outfit just makes me happy. It’s bright, it’s summery, and these earrings are awesome! I just love it. Now I can’t wait until I have  tan to go with my sundresses. It’s been super nice here so it’s on its way, but you know how it is…a slow process. This weekend doesn’t look too promising for my tan plan with all the cloudiness. Oh well, I guess I’ll have to wait for the next one.

Yeah, I’m pretty sure I am a walking advertisement for Charming Charlie sometimes. Guess that’s what happens when you work around the stuff all the time. You really can’t beat the prices though, this dress was like $25! You all know I can’t resist a good deal, but I am going to have to start resisting more often since we are saving to buy our own house. Yup, that’s right, a house! I am so excited that it’s finally going to happen, we just need to find the right one. Wish us luck!

How do you save your money when you get the urge to shop?
