The only complaint I have about the skirt is about the fabric. It is beautiful and looks wonderful, but it is one of those skirts where when you sit down it immediately wrinkles. I don’t know if there is any way to stop this (if there is PLEASE tell me how!), but I definitely noticed it after sitting down at the office all day long. Happy Birthday With A Great Big Bow

It’s my birthday! I am starting to feel old now. 25 wasn’t so bad, 26 got a little worse, but the number 27 just SEEMS so much older. <sigh> Where does the time go? This dress seemed fitting to post on my birthday, since it is the epitome of me. Pink with bows, how much more fun and girly can you get? You will have to forgive me while my tan lines take over the upper portion of my body, I blame the tank top I wore while paddle boarding this past weekend. Speaking of paddle boarding, Nicolle’s boyfriend is in town this week so we went again last night. You seriously need to go if you have never been. So much fun! I’m pretty sure I am going to die this morning at bootcamp from all of the paddling, but I’ll just have super sexy arms by the end of the summer, eh?

Today is actually the day I decided to get serious with my blog last year. I had done a few posts here and there, but it wasn’t until my birthday that I decided I really loved it and wanted to do more of it:) So, happy anniversary to my blog as well! Almost Time For The Summertime Blues

Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! Mine was pretty awesome. My cousin, Nicolle, is a traveling nurse who will be staying in Austin for the next 3 months. She arrived on Saturday! We took her for an inaugural Austin dinner at Hopdoddy, which she LOVED. Then we spent the rest of the night hanging out with a bottle of wine in the hot tub at her apartment complex. I am so excited that we get to live so close to each other even if it is only for a couple of months!

I wore this dress to Hopdoddy on Saturday night. It was perfect: casual, but still cute! I ordered it online a few weeks ago along with a few other summery items which I will be showing pretty soon! I probably should have ordered one size down, it is a little bit too large, but it definitely made it comfier. It also gives me a way to show off some of my cute bandeaus, like this white lace one! I am really considering buying the coral color of the same dress. It’s on sale for $30, and it’s a solid color which makes it perfect to accessorize with!

Little Birds

Hi Lovelies!

Not a whole ton to say today. My flight from Denver was delayed 2 hours last night and when I got home I was starving and beyond tired. I will give you all a recap of my adventures there with my cousin as soon as I can muster up the energy to upload the pictures:) Today is going to be all about catching up. On work, on sleep, on running….and a little bit on breathing. That altitude knocked me on my behind!

Today’s outfit includes one of the comfiest cardigans I have ever worn. This baby is from Target and she is so soft! I needed her to go with the little birdies on this shirt I got at Charming Charlie last year:) I wanted to bring out the pop of orange in the shirt, instead of going with the brown cardigan I usually wear with it!
