A Vest I Actually Like…

I’m not usually a vest person. In fact, I really don’t like vests, but let me set the scene for you. It’s the first day of my new job, I walk by the front window and see a mannequin wearing this vest.  I don’t know why, but I could already picture it in my head with this olive colored shirt I had just gotten at Forever 21. I needed it. I mean, it was my first day of work at a new store. A store that had a VERY different style than the one I had worked at for the previous 10 months. I needed new clothes. I had to fit in with the style of my new store. So, I went inside, worked my first day of training…and proceeded to buy half of the store. Oh, the days of working in retail. I remember getting in a new shipment and making fun of everything in the box….and then owning all of it 2 months later.

Back to the vest…I bought it that first day, and I have worn it in so many ways since, but for today you get the original version. My dainty lace vest paired with boots, jeans, and a plain little t-shirt:

As I said earlier, there are so many ways to style this vest, and to be honest it’s weird for me that I started with this one on here. I’m not really a jeans and a t-shirt girl. I love dresses and skirts. I love to dress up. I love feminine outfits. The only really feminine part of this outfit is the dainty lace vest…I guess that’s what makes it ok:)

I have seen this vest so many places since I bought it 2 years ago, from TJ Maxx to Nordstrom. I guess it’s one of those things that doesn’t really go out of style. Be sure to check back later this fall for a fun way to wear it with a dress:)

Until next time…
