Hi Lovelies!
Today’s outfit has one of my favorite color mixes: Yellow and Purple. It may have something to do with the fact that these were my college’s school colors (Go Brits!)….or the fact that it just looks so autumn-like! This is one of my favorite summer dresses, its has a really cute open back. I got it at Forever 21 a while back and even though it says not to wash it, I did. Oops. Well, needless to say, it shrunk in length A LOT. I was so sad, because it was almost too short to wear out of the house, much less to work. Then, while wandering around Pinterest one day, I came across the idea of a skirt extender! All I did, was buy a nude colored slip from Kohls and I sew this really pretty tan lace (Joann’s) on to the bottom of it. Voila! Instant skirt extension for those skirts and dresses that are just a tiny bit too short! I loved it so much that I actually made more in black and white.

LOVELOVELOVE yellow and purple together. That’s probably my favorite color combo. And I love the idea of adding lace for extension. I’m very self-conscious about my legs and avoid shorter skirts like the plague. This is the perfect remedy for that!

Thanks, Beth! The extender doesn’t take very long to make, and I think you can even buy them now already made! I think they’re more expensive pre-made though:)
My sorority colors are royal purple and pure gold, so of course I love this combo! You look great!
Thanks, Niki! What sorority were you in?!
That is SO genius. Never have I ever thought about doing this. Definitely going to have to try this
I know, right? It really has saved so many dresses in my closet!
I love the idea of a skirt-extender. I am really tall, so there are just so many things I have that are too short… seriously, such a great idea. And you look cute – I love the yellow/purple combo!
Thank you! I got excited when I saw the idea on Pinterest, and it was so easy to make!
Such a cute Fall look! Love the boots Visiting from Funday Monday Link up!

Thank you, Tasha! I went searching for boots for weeks until I finally found these:)
Love your entire outfit!! I’ve seen dress extenders in boutiques, but they are typically just as pricey as those boutique dresses! Love your idea of making your own! Genius!
Thanks! I know, they are so expensive! I got my slip with my Kohls cash and the lace was only $8:)
All over adorable, but I really love the extender!
Thanks, Jennifer! The extender just adds that little extra something:)
I have been eyeing that dress all summer! I love it!
Thanks, Michelle! Good luck, cross your fingers that you win!
I love the slip. Thanks for the idea. I am going to try it.
No problem! I can’t remember where on Pinterest I saw it, but I am so glad I did!
