I can not even begin to tell you how EXCITED I am for the 4th of July. It has got to be my favorite holiday. I love being on the water, hanging out in the sun, and eating to my heart’s delight! I also really, really REALLY like red, white, and blue. Decorations, food, clothing you name it…if it’s red, white, and blue I am SO on it! I saw this tank top on Etsy and decided immediately that it needed to be mine:) And let’s be honest…who doesn’t need a patriotic bathing suit as well? I think it’s a necessity!

I am so excited to talk about something really great today. Modcloth. Yes, yes, I know you all know what Modcloth is (and if you don’t you should probably head on over and get ready to spend a LOT of doll hairs…) but they are one of the only online boutiques I know of that offers plus-size clothing. I cannot tell you how many times I have gotten compliments on something I have worn, but unfortunately the clothing from certain shops isn’t offered in anything bigger than a large. To be 100% honest, I think it’s pretty pathetic that I am one of the biggest sizes some retailers even offer. So let’s celebrate ModCloth today for their super exciting milestone– the one-year anniversary of officially launching their plus-size clothing line! Happy hump day, everyone! I am SO excited today’s outfit. These colors!! I never would have thought to put the purple, mint, and lime colors together, but they mesh really well. I was browsing Target online the other day and I saw this scarf on one of the models . Let’s just say I fell in love (what’s new?) and just had to have it. The model was wearing it as a head scarf, so I definitely be trying that next!

This outfit is exactly why I love accessories. Working in retail for so long really helped to bring out the fashionista in me. I used to wear one simple silver necklace and some studs all the time. I was never that girl who wore hats and scarves or who had the confidence to wear statement jewelry. Now, I have accessories coming out the wazoo. I love that you can throw on a comfy white tank and jeans and make an amazing outfit with just your accessories! I would highly recommend this scarf. It’s light weight which is great for summer, and I got so many compliments:)

Hi Lovelies!

Can I just start by saying how crazy out of shape you can get in just one month?! On my first day of bootcamp I couldn’t believe how badly I already felt after not doing much of anything for just one month! Well, let’s just say I won’t be doing that again anytime soon.

The last two weeks have been awesome though! I never thought I would be that girl who wakes up at 4:45 to go work out, but I am actually loving it! I go to boot camp, take a shower, get ready, eat breakfast, and get some things done around the house…all before work at 8AM. It’s fantastic! I am the type of person who needs A LOT of motivation to get out of bed. If it was just me wandering into Gold’s Gym by myself to jog on the treadmill I would make it one day…if even that. Knowing that I have that trainer and my class waiting for me really helps to get me up out of bed in a hurry. It also helps that I have already lost 4.5 pounds…Lol:)

Now that I’m back in my work out state of mind (and feeling great I might add!) I have been eyeing some new work out gear! Here in Austin, even at 5:30AM, it is pretty warm outside and it just gets warmer as the hour goes on. It’s really nice to have a few layers to strip off as I go, so this outfit would be perfect for me. The best part? Adidas is having a summer sale and thousands of their items are up to 40% off! The sale is on anything summer, from running shoes to swimwear. Happy shopping!
