I have been so MIA the past week. I guess that’s what happens when the holidays hit and you are enjoying the relaxation that comes along with it:) We spent Christmas with my family in Dallas and it was fantastic! We opened gifts with the little kids, had some great meals, and relaxed a lot! We missed our family that couldn’t be with us, but made sure to give everyone a call! I hope everyone out there had a wonderful holiday and weekend!

I wore this outfit the week before Christmas and I am in love. I couldn’t believe my luck when I found this Kate Spade skirt on clearance AND in my size on the sale rack at Nordstrom Rack. You can’t beat $60 for a skirt that was once over $300. I love you Nordstrom Rack, I really do! This handbag is a new find at Charming Charlie. I walked in because of the $10 off sign and walked away with this little beauty soon after I saw it:) <Sigh> It’s been a good month for great finds!

Merry Christmas To You

I can’t believe that it is almost Christmas. This year has just FLOWN by way too quickly! I hope everyone is having a wonderful Christmas week and that you will all be able to spend lots of time with family this week! I don’t have any outfits for you today, but I do have some Christmas photos I wanted to share with you!

I love this deer wrapping paper I found in the dollar section at Target..and glittery tulle is the best ever! Only problem is that you and your house will be covered with glitter for weeks after using it…

It’s a little blurry, but I got some really cute shots of Sophie this weekend. She was SO not happy to be wrapped in lights in this one. I took about 50 photos and she moved all of 5 millimeters in that time. Pissed off….Lol!

She was a little more okay with these photos because they didn’t involve lights being wrapped around her. She still looks really mad though….

I am SUCH a dog mom and I am not ashamed….

The gifts are all wrapped and under the tree!This is Wes’ gift….I’m not going to lie, I am so proud of how it turned out with that huge tulle bow:) I made hot chocolate cupcakes with marshmallow icing. Can we talk about amazing?

I probably won’t be seen around these parts for a couple of days since I will be spending quality time with the family these next couple of days. I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas and I will see you all soon!

Shimmer & Shine

This is the outfit I wore to my company’s holiday party. I have been looking for a dress pretty much exactly like this for about 2 years now. I found one like this at Kohl’s back then, but I didn’t buy it. Why didn’t I buy it?!? Lol! Oh well, I found this one a few weeks ago and bough it immediately! I love the colors, I love the cut, and I love my layered pearls with it:) I’m not sure where the coat was from because I’ve had it since I was 10. Yes, since I was 10. My Mom bought one for my sister and I and needless to say, I was huge on me. I’m going to go ahead and say it’s vintage since it’s at least 17 years old…but now I’m starting to feel old…lol.

The only advice I have for everyone this week, is to breathe. I saw/heard so many people freaking out this weekend because Christmas is so close, but everyone just needs to keep calm and breathe:) The only thing that will matter on Christmas morning, is the people you are with! 12 Days of Christmas Recipes, Crafts, and Style

Gifts in a mason jar are the easiest way to give a little something small to show thanks to those in your life. I have seen these ALL over Pinterest this holiday season and there are SO many different ideas out there! This would be the perfect gift for teachers, mailmen, FedEx and UPS drivers, gardeners, etc. My gift in a jar is a hot chocolate gift. I paired the hot chocolate with one of my homemade chocolate mint stir spoons! I also plan to give a little package of homemade marshmallows as well:)

I try to DIY most things I do because I find it fun, and I honestly think that people appreciate homemade gifts much more than they do store bought:) I looked around for some other great mason jar gift ideas and here’s an awesome list from other bloggers around the interwebs!
