Polka Dots & Pink

I have worn this outfit multiple times since I got this polka dot top in November and I LOVE it. I saw a picture on Pinterest that had a polka dot button down and a magenta sweater and I KNEW that was how I was going to style it. I searched for a pink sweater for a while before I found this one at Target. It’s perfect! Who doesn’t love black, white, and pink together?! That’s what I thought! These photos are from a few weeks ago before I trimmed my hair, but I haven’t had a ton of time to post them. Here I am though! Miss me?

Again, I am in love with this outfit, and am so happy that SheIn contacted me and offered to have me style a piece of theirs! It took a week or so to get the top, but once I received it, it was definitely worth it. It’s not a cheap, thin material and actually has some substance to it unlike some chiffon type tops I’ve found. I will be ordering some more items for spring soon, including this dress I’ve had my eye on!

Navy & Roses

It is too cold. That’s really all I have to say today. Lol. Last week I was wearing this wonderfully summery outfit…and now this. And this was taken before it got REALLY cold. I haven’t been able to take photos all week it’s so cold. I don’t envy all of your northern bloggers who do this in the snow and such. Thankfully its *supposed* to be 60 today and 70 on Sunday…..let’s hope this is it. I know, I know, I really shouldn’t complain about one week of cold, but this is Texas! All I can say is that you will never hear me complain about the weather during the summer:)

I saw this sweater on someone’s instagram and I fell in love. I searched Target.com for it and found it, ON SALE! Woot woot! I wore it in a pretty basic manner here, but I already have some great ideas of more fun ways to style it:) I’m thinking a little pink plaid or maybe a few polka dots? We’ll see!

Summer Colors & Body Talk

Happy hump day! I hope everyone in Texas is enjoying the GORGEOUS weather we’ve been having all week. It was almost 80 degrees yesterday! It’s supposed to cool down a little bit by the weekend, but I still can’t complain about 60s when everywhere else is swamped with snow and frigid cold!

All this warm weather has really gotten me thinking about our annual trip to Michigan this summer…hence the red, white, and blue outfit! This combo is one of my favorites! You may recognize the sweater from a month or so back, I wore it here in grey. Well, I loved it so much that I had my Momma get me one for Christmas in navy:) It’s super soft and I will still never get over the fact that I found it at Costco!

I have to say, it’s been harder for me to post photos of myself lately. I have felt a little yucky about my body lately and I know exactly why. I stopped going to my bootcamp back before Christmas because it got to cold for me at 5:00AM (I’m a wimp). Ever since then I have been a little “softer” than I would like to be. I have run a bit and will be going to a gym once it opens next month, but I really need to get back on track. If you follow often, I posted about my fitness goals here a few weeks ago, and I have been pretty good at the eating healthier portion of it all…just not the working out part. I am getting together a fitness routine for myself that I’ll be sure to post on Fitness Friday next month for you all to see. I really want to get myself into good shape before the summer comes so that I can look great in that flamingo bikini I bought last year:) Who’s with me?

Scarves & Polka Dots

It’s Monday again…..<sigh> at least it’s supposed to be nice this week. We had a beautiful weekend here in Austin. The sun was shining and my parents were in town so we went out to Lake Travis. We walked around the Mansfield Damn park and then went to the brewery at the Oasis. I am really excited for it to be summer and for our friend from Michigan to come visit so that we can go back. They had cornhole and adult jenga to play and an amazing view of the lake and hill country. If you haven’t been before and you are in the area, you should definitely check it out!

I wore this outfit last week when it was cold. It almost feels wrong to post it today since it’s going to be in the 70s here, but for all of you northern ladies who need warm weather inspiration here you go! Lol! I love the pink and burgundy together, and of course chambray just goes so well with everything. I was going to wear some flats with this outfits, but the polka dot tights and boots were more than necessary last week…my windshield even froze one morning! I really hope that this nice weather is here to stay so that I can start taking some spring time outfit photos, those are my favorite:) How was everyone else’s weekend?!

Orange With A Bow

Well, the holidays are officially over and it is back to a normal, full-day work schedule for this lady. <sigh> I think I always go through a sort of post-holiday depression after it is all over with. I get so excited for an entire month and then it’s all over and done with so quickly. <Double sigh> On to the next holiday! Lol!

I hope everyone had a wonderful and relaxing weekend! Wes and I spent a lot of time this weekend doing homey things. Weeding, cleaning up the backyard, staining a dresser, painting the garage, washing the dog who got into the paint in the garage….lol! Homeownership is fun if you ask me. Minus the weeding, I enjoyed every minute of the work! Oh, and not counting trying to get paint out of the dog’s fur. Sophie now has one short ear because I had to trim the paint off of the bottom of one. <This is the third time I have wanted to sigh in this post, I guess we all know what kind of mood I’m in today!> I also went to Joann’s and got some awesome fabric to start some great crafty projects! I’ll be sure to share them all on here once they are finished!

Today’s outfit is a comfy and wonderful one. It has been pretty chilly here in Austin so I have gotten a lot of use out of my Groopdealz blanket scarf! It really is super cozy and can be worn in SO many different ways! I have been wanting a belt like this forEVER! I saw one on a blog a long time ago and it was sold out by the time I had a chance to shop for it, but my persistence in checking back in on the Target site paid off when I found it for sale again a few weeks back! Yay me! I also love this button down top. I got it back during summer time at New York & Company and it is fabulous for layering in Texas winter. It’s great because it has no sleeves and doesn’t make you TOO hot, it also doesn’t bunch up under your cardigan! I love that I can still get the look for a button down layered with a cardi and not have all of that bulk! Highly recommend!
