Hi Lovelies!

What a wonderful weekend I had! I will tell you a little bit more about it tomorrow, but for today I want to focus on today’s outfit! I am ALL about the bright summer colors right now, but I decided to mix it up a little with this one and bring in some jewel tones for a little bit of a different feel. This outfit is one of my favorites in the fall with my purple tights and cognac boots, but I decided to “summerfy” it today:) Let’s be honest, if you add a fedora and some wedges to pretty much anything it makes it feel more summery. That really is the joy of accessories, they can help switch your favorite looks over from season to season!

Hi Lovelies!

So, I am pretty much a Charming Charlie advertisement in today’s outfit, haha! I had a $10 off birthday coupon and you know how those work…you go in expecting to spend $20 and come out with, well, an entire outfit. These shoes were the first item in my basket. I was drawn to them because they matched the dress I was wearing, but they stayed in the basket because they were on sale:) You can surely expect to see these little babies on here again many a time before summer is up.

 If you follow me on Twitter, you will know that I have a new obsession with Keds. Well, Ked style shoes I guess since these are from Target and aren’t Keds brand. I have bought 3 pairs in the past month including these white ones. I am really torn because I originally bought them to paint with gold dots like the Kate Spade ones, but I really like the plain white ones too. Don’t worry though, if I paint them I’ll be sure to give you all a good old DIY post to show you how I did it:)

Hi Lovelies!

I think this may be one of my favorite outfits to date. It is the epitome of me. Bright, fun, girlie…Not to mention it is both of my favorite colors:) I have had this dress for years…ever since the days of working at Delia’s in Michigan just after college. I’m not really sure why it took until now for me to post it. Well, regardless, I am so glad I did this weekend!

I am in love with my very first Kendra Scott purchase! I want every single color now, and this necklace in pink, annnnnnd these earrings in white or neon yellow:) I am just going to have to stop looking at them so that I can save my money! Maybe I’ll get one as a reward after running my half marathon. Sounds like a good goal to me:)

Jewel Tones And A Little Plaid

Hi Lovelies!

It has been chilly here in Texas for the past few days, and  I have been taking that weather as a chance to wear all of my fall/winter clothing before it gets warm again. I have to say though, as much as I love warm weather style I am so ready for spring. I know, I know, we have had some really nice weather here too…in fact it’s supposed to be in the high 60’s today and the high 70’s again this weekend too:) Woohoo! Look forward to some sunny spring outfits on the blog next week!

You may remember this dress from this post where I wore it pretty simply with nude flats and some gold jewelery. I decided to dress it a little more casually today with  some mustard tights and my favorite boots. Tights really are one of my favorite ways to change up the look of a dress and I love the mix of the jewel tones here!

By the way, totally off topic, but I would highly recommend going to your local Charming Charlie and finding this watch. I have gotten more compliments on it than probably any other jewelery item I own.
