Every month at my work we do a staff breakfast. Usually we have Waffle Wednesday, but last month I decided that I was sick of waffles. I thought long and hard about what we could make instead, and I eventually decided on smoothies. I am a genius! My boss and I both brought in our blenders and I bought all of the ingredients for 3 different types: Blueberry Pomegranate, Strawberry Banana, and Banana Mocha. They were all fantastic (trust me, I had a little of each lol), but my favorite was the banana mocha one. Now, I have put the basic ingredients on here, but you could totally add fun stuff like protein powder to this as well!
Ingredients:
- 1 frozen banana
- 1/2 cup of cold coffee
- 1/2 cup of milk
- 1 tbsp peanut butter
- 1 tsp Kiva Cacao Powder
Directions:
- Place all ingredients into blender.
- Blend on high until a creamy consistency has been reached.
- Pour into your glass and enjoy!
Yeah, it’s that simple. I have begun to make smoothies for breakfast after my bootcamp some mornings, and they give you a great little kick in the morning to get your day started right. The Kiva cacao powder that I put in is really great too. It’s organic, which I love, and it is just the right blend of bitter and sweet. I would highly recommend it for all of your smoothie or baking needs. You can get it on Amazon for $16.85. The bag is huge, and I use it in almost all of my smoothies to give it a little chocolate flavor:)
