I Love These Shorts

I love these shorts! I have them in every color…well, not every color…but quite a few! Old Navy for the win! I love when you find a good pair of shorts that just fits well. I always make sure to get a few pairs of something when I decide I really like it:) If you haven’t tried Old Navy’s shorts lately, you should give them a shot. They aren’t too short and they are super comfortable. I just can’t do the short shorts at my age. I know I’m not old, but I just don’t feel appropriate. Lol…I do love the confidence that loosing a little weight and gaining some leg muscles has given me. I used to hate shorts, but have slowly but surely gotten more comfortable in them:)

This week couldn’t have gone by any slower. I don’t know why, I was so busy at work but the days just dragged on. I cannot wait until the weekend so that I can relax and get some work done around the yard. I hope you all are having a better week than I am…

Dressing Up A Plain Tee

This is SUCH a comfy T-shirt. I was looking for the perfect soft tee and walking around Target (obviously) found this one. Sooooooo comfy! I love finding different ways to dress up a comfy shirt too. I wore it with my boyfriend jeans and a statement necklace the first time, so the second time I wanted to dress it up a little bit more. This outfit kind of came together spur of the moment when I realized that this scarf and skirt matched. I figured, why not put them together with my comfy tee?! Love:)

I figured that since this past weekend was #Potterhead weekend on ABC Family this outfit was appropriate. I don’t care how old I get I will always be a Harry Potter girl, and I will always re-read the books whenever I feel down. Harry Potter was a huge part of my childhood and I am a Harry Potter nerd through and through:)

This tank top was a gift from my husband for my birthday back in June, as was the ring. I am pretty sure I have more Harry Potter shirts than should be considered necessary, but I saw this one and fell in love. I don’t want a tattoo and I will never get one, but if I did, it would for sure be the deathly hallows symbol:) I’m feeling a sudden urge to go read all of the books again now…

Color Crush: Mint & Purple

Hi Lovelies!

Happy hump day, everyone! I am SO excited today’s outfit. These colors!! I never would have thought to put the purple, mint, and lime colors together, but they mesh really well. I was browsing Target online the other day and I saw this scarf on one of the models . Let’s just say I fell in love (what’s new?) and just had to have it. The model was wearing it as a head scarf, so I definitely be trying that next!

This outfit is exactly why I love accessories. Working in retail for so long really helped to bring out the fashionista in me. I used to wear one simple silver necklace and some studs all the time. I was never that girl who wore hats and scarves or who had the confidence to wear statement jewelry. Now, I have accessories coming out the wazoo. I love that you can throw on a comfy white tank and jeans and make an amazing outfit with just your accessories! I would highly recommend this scarf. It’s light weight which is great for summer, and I got so many compliments:)

Comfy Casual

Hi Lovelies!

This weekend was everything that I had hoped for, the weather was amazing and I got to spend a lot of time in my brand new backyard! Shanna wore these pants a few weeks ago on her blog, and I knew I needed them the moment I saw them! They are so comfortable and were perfect for lounging around in our new backyard this Sunday. At 5′ 4″ they are just a teeny bit too long, but I haven’t washed them yet and am sure they will shrink up a bit once I do!

I started reading Divergent this weekend, and I am hooked! I have been wanting to read it since my friend Chelsea told me about it last year. When I found out it was going to be made into a movie I knew I had to read it before I saw it. Well, I never really got around to it until this weekend:) It’s really great so far, highly recommend!
