Black, White, & Pink Bows

Hi Lovelies!

I am SO looking forward today….it’s supposed to be 70 degrees and I could not be happier! Now, let’s just hope it actually gets up to 70, so that I can enjoy one day before it goes back down to 40 again:( I am ready for the back and forth to be done and for it to be 80 constantly. Yeah, yeah…I know, I have no reason to complain when it’s a frozen tundra everywhere else….but I do really, because I moved away from the north to get away from the cold! Ok, whine over…for now:)

So, I got this little bow top from Jane.com in the mail this weekend, and I just about died. As many of you know, I have a bow obsession. And by that I really do mean obsession….as in, if it has a bow on it I need it and I need it now:) The black and white make it the perfect top to accessorize with a pop of color, like this pink. And the bows, well they make it perfect for accessorizing with more bows!

I am so excited by how nice it has been here in Texas the past couple of days! It was 80 degrees yesterday, and you can bet I was running around with no coat on soaking up that sunshine! It was such a nice day I just had to take some pictures:) It’s going to be a little colder than 80 the rest of the week, but I will take my 60s and 70s over that polar vortex any day! Lol!

So, yesterday was the big allergy test. Oh my goodness was it awful! First they bring out 6 panels that have 10 prickers on them. Each pricker has an allergen on it and they rub them into your inner arms so that it “scratches” your arm. Then they make you sit for 20 minutes while your arms feel as though they are on fire and itch like CRAZY! After you wait for what seems like 5 years for them to come back, they measure how big all of the welts are. This is where they decide which ones you reacted to and get shots ready for each one. So here’s the great part: They test you for 60 allergens…..<drumroll> I tested positive for 57 of them. Which meant I had to get a shot 57 TIMES! Yes, you heard me correctly, I had 57 shots yesterday. I now have bruised track marks to show off to all of my lovely coworkers and gym mates. Worst experience ever. Well, I guess now I know I am allergic to everything. No really…cockroaches, mice, cats, dogs…every tree, weed, mold, and grass ever. I guess that’s why I feel like crap ALL year round. Lol.

Pink Flamingo

Isn’t this bow the cutest thing you have ever seen? I was browsing around Instagram a few weeks ago and came across the cutest pictures of hair bows, so obviously I had to look them up on Etsy. Well, I got lucky and found the best bow ever. I mean, who doesn’t like pink flamingos?! I decided I needed to bring the pink back in my sweater and make it a bright little outfit since I am yearning for spring! Who else is with me? I am over not being able to wear sundresses and flip flops!

I loved them the first day (the day those pictures were taken) and have not been able to make them look the same since…<whomp whomp> Anyone have tips on how to style side bangs so that they don’t look awkward (such as in these pictures lol) Helppppp me!

Southwestern Style

Hi Lovelies!

Is anyone else dying of allergies right now? I don’t know what it is about this state, but my allergies KILL me all the time. Maybe it’s the fact that nothing ever dies because it doesn’t get cold enough. Well, whatever it is, It’s sooo bad. I’m going to take an allergy test on Monday, but the catch is that I can’t take any type of medication until then. So, don’t mind me…I’ll just be over here dying.

Today’s outfit is something I saw on Lulu’s instagram and bought about 5 minutes later. I don’t care if it goes out of style next fall, or 10 years from now….I love aztec print.

Anchors And Stripes And Bows Oh My!

Hi Lovelies!

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! We had a friend come in to town with her fiance last minute, so we hung out with them all day Saturday…doing the general Saturday day drinking types of things:) Sunday was relaxing, even though I was supposed to do about a million things…I got probably one of them done. I think I’m okay with that though:) I’m definitely getting better at just letting things go and living life as it comes, instead of freaking out when I don’t do all 15 things on my to do list for the weekend. It’s going to be a good year, I can tell already:)

Now let’s talk about the outfit. This sweater was on the mannequin right when I walked into Charming Charlie and it was screaming my name. I don’t know about you….but bows are my thing right now. Add some stripes and an anchor, well that’s just perfection!

I really love this whole look, the colors and the anchors make me want for it to be summer again. I guess I’ll have to settle for the 65-70 degree weather we’re supposed to have for at least the next 10 days. <sigh> Oh darn! Haha!
