As a child, I was blessed with amazing skin. I never got acne, and I very rarely had pimples. I feel as though I have had worse skin as an adult than I ever did as a teenager. How does that work? Now, I’m not saying that I have bad skin, I am still very thankful for my complexion, but I am pretty sure I have more zits nowadays than I ever did back in middle school. Maybe it’s the bootcamp? Maybe it’s the fact that I sometimes (very rarely) don’t wash my face before bed (I know, I know, smack me please!) Whatever it is, when I saw the opportunity to review a new skin cleanser, I jumped at the chance. I decided that the best way to review this one would be to journal my use of it for a week to see how it works in the long run. Here you have it:
Day 1: I have two pimples, both on my chin. (Grr!) I washed my face tonight with Mia Mariu’s before bed. I felt as though my skin was a little dry afterwards, but I didn’t put any moisturizer on after because I want to see if it dries me out.
Day 2: When I woke up this morning, one of the pimples was practically gone, and the other was looking much better. My skin wasn’t dried out, nor was it oily. I will put my regular moisturizer on with it tonight. Washed face before bed. Note to self: a little bit goes a long way, no need to pour out more than a dime sized dollop.
Day 3: No pimples in sight even with my moisturizer added. Love this stuff.
Day 4: Skin is still looking good and it feels great. I was reading about the product and I love how many natural ingredients are in it.
Days 5-7: I was my face every night and no new pimples arose. Not much point in going in to detail about each day since they were all the same.
Now, I know everyone has different skin types and that this product won’t work for everyone, but I would definitely say that it is worth a try. There are so many natural ingredients in it, and the company really seems to care about the quality of it’s ingredients.
