Well, That Didn’t Last Long…

Spring is here in Austin! Well…it was for a month and then it got back into the 50s and 60s again! Grrr! Well, you can call me crazy if you’re from the north, but 50s call for a scarf here in Texas! haha! I can’t complain because it’s supposed to be nice again for the rest of the week, but I had a little scare there on Monday when it was only 55 and super windy! Don’t mind me as I let out a sigh of relief that I might be able to put my scarves and such away after all!

I hope you all are having a wonderful week and remember, it’s Thursday already! Woohoo! I’ll be living it up this weekend…cleaning my house top to bottom and weeding our front yard. We have seriously got to hire someone to weed our yard for us on a regular basis! It is my least favorite thing to do and it gets out of control SO quickly! Haha! Oh well, I guess it’s up to me until we decide we want to pay someone an ungodly amount of $$$ to pull some weeds….not happening anytime soon. Oh well! Have a wonderful day!

Sparkles & Plaid

If you don’t have a Costco membership, you either need one or need to find someone that has one. This sweater is everything. I went in for a few simples food items (and maybe to look at the Christmas stuff) and ended up wandering aimlessly for an hour and then buying this sweater. Yes, you heard me. This sweatshirt with those cute little sparkles on it is from Costco. (They also have navy blue if you are curious.) (And, also yes, I asked for it in navy for Christmas…so sue me!) For some reason, I just had this outfit in my head and I couldn’t say no. The next day, I popped out of bed with a big smile on my face and headed over to my closet to throw on my new outfit. It’s the little things in life people! I have actually worn it twice since I got the sweater a week and a half ago. (Once like this and another time with boyfriend jeans and my cute Lulu’s zebra flats- as I showed on Instagram here!) Yes, you could say that I become obsessed when I find an item I especially love:)

Oh, and by the way, this is also the softest sweater ever. It’s lightweight so it probably won’t keep you the warmest, but that makes it great for layering. I am in love and I can’t wait for my navy one to arrive once Santa has left on Christmas morning:) Have you found any awesome fashion steals at Costco before?

My October Favorites

My oh my, I cannot believe that it is November already. I’m pretty sure I say that at the beginning of every ~~month~~ week. It’s just crazy to me how fast the time is going by. Before you know it, it will be December 24th and Christmas will be here! Although, going in to stores this weekend, you would think Christmas was tomorrow! The Christmas decorations are out and in full force, I can’t believe some stores didn’t even wait until Halloween was over. I won’t lie to you though, I already have a list of great Christmas crafts I’m going to get on pretty soon for my 12 days of Christmas crafts posts in December. But, let’s not get ahead of ourselves here, it’s still November 3rd. So, in honor of Halloween month officially being over, I will leave you with my favorite outfits for the month of October. Enjoy!

Layering Up Because Fall Is Finally Here In Texas

Happy hump day, everyone! Fall is FINALLY here in Austin! Woohoo! The weather this past weekend and the last two days has be beautiful. It’s great during the day, but I have to admit it is a bit nippy in the morning at bootcamp. I’ve had to pull out my long sleeved work out tops and my capris to get through until I start sweating! I’m excited though because that means that my fall outfits can be worn without the profuse sweating I have been enduring! Haha! Well, even with the cooler days we’ve been having the skirt is back. I only bought it a couple of weeks ago and I’ve already worn it to work multiple times and to go out shopping with my Momma. It’s comfy and it is the best fall color ever! And that cardigan! I have been wanting a new leopard cardigan for a while now, because the one I have doesn’t fit very well. I saw this one in Target and I LOVED the fact that the leopard is only on the front. I think it gives it a little bit of character that a plain old leopard cardigan doesn’t have. I also think it makes it look a little classier:) Get The Look:

Similar Styles:

My only complaint with the outfit is that I think the chambray under the cardigan makes you look a little bulky, but it’s not too bad with the chambray tucked in to the skirt. How do you prevent the bulk when layering for fall and winter? Let me know in the comments below!

Polka Dots And Plaid: Getting Brave With Pattern Mixing

Really y’all…I am getting SO brave with this pattern mixing thing, and this outfit makes me SO excited! I love the colors, I love the patterns, I love the red lips. I love this outfit. I have read so many posts about “rules” for pattern mixing. I’ve even written a few about “tips” for pattern mixing. I have to say, after this outfit, throw all of that out the window. If you like it, I say go for it:) That has really been my motto for the past few months. I am trying to get over the self conscious, “What do other people think?” that goes on it my brain, and just go for what I like and what makes me feel awesome. This one makes me feel awesome.
