My Bow Booties

Hi Lovelies!

First of all, Happy Halloween! Halloween is one of my absolute favorite holidays. Pretty sure its a mixture of the costumes, candy, and the fact that I get to act like a child and it is socially acceptable:) Tehehe. We have a friend coming in from out of town tonight as well, so that makes me EXTRA excited for today! Be sure to follow along with me on Instagram to see all of our adventures this weekend!

If you have been following along with All That Glitters for a while, you will remember this boot post from a while back. In this post I mentioned wanting high heel booties with bows on them. Well, I found some! Aren’t they perfect? I love that they have bows, but they aren’t tacky bows. Does that make sense? lol. Actually, I retract that statement…because I don’t think bows can be tacky. I love bows!

Does anyone have any advice on how to stop your jeans from bunching up around your booties? It was really bothering me, so I tried to put some rubber bands around my jeans and then put them in the boots. It worked better than before, but still looked a little funky. Let me know below if you have any good ideas for me!

Five Trends I Love

5 hot trendsHi Lovelies!

I did a post a while back about trends that I hate and wish had never existed….so, I thought I would do the other side! So, here you have it 5 trends that I LOVE, that a lot of other people probably really hate.

1. Leopard printLeopard, cheetah, whichever you want to call it. You name it, I have it. Cheetah watch, cheetah  shirt, cheetah dress, cheetah cardigan, cheetah belt, cheetah shoes, cheetah handbag, cheetah earrings, cheetah necklace, cheetah socks, cheetah bedding…Ok, so I don’t have the cheetah bedding, that was when I was 16, but everything else is right on. You name it, I have it….in cheetah. I know, I know…what did you do, skin a cheetah?!?! Yes, and a very large one to make all of the things!!!!

2. Statement jewelery– Some people think they are gaudy. I think they are fabulous. I love big jewelery. It has rhinestones, pearls, bows, and is bright pink?!? Where do I sign up?! The bigger the better…just like Texas.

3. Boyfriend cardigans– Worn the correct way they can be so cute! Now, don’t go buying an extra large to make it extra baggy because you’ll look like you’re wearing a tent. But, in the right size, with a little belt, and the right outfit….you’ve started a revolution:)

4. Chevron– Yes, I’ve heard…a lot of people are totally over the whole chevron thing, but I am totally not. I love chevron. And not just for fashion, for decor as well. Give me chevron curtains, a lamp, and a dress…I neeeeed them!

5. Combat boots– As I told you in yesterday’s post, I LOVE this trend. I know that a lot of people think you have to have a certain “look” to pull these off, but I am pretty sure I proved them wrong! As long as you don’t wear them with camo, I’m pretty sure they can mix into anyone’s personal style really well!

There you have it, my favorite trends of the moment. What trends are you loving right now?

Until tomorrow…

The Combat Boot Dilemma

Hi Lovelies!

I found these boots online a month or so ago and I knew I needed them in my life. So, I ordered them, waiting impatiently for them to arrive, and then wore them around my house all night trying to decide how to wear them first. It has taken me until now to actually wear them. I tried 50 different outfits and for some reason I just didn’t like any of them. I wanted something that fit my style, something frilly or pink to make the outfit still be girly enough for me. I love all of those outfits on Pinterest with the girls in leggings and a comfy shirt, (see here, here, here, here) but they just aren’t me. Now, don’t get me wrong, I will probably be sporting that look once 40 degree weather rolls around and I don’t feel like looking presentable, but that just isn’t in my comfort zone yet. Baby steps.

It might have taken me an entire month to figure it out, but I think I accomplished exactly what I was going for. The girly ruffles really help to tone down the masculinity of the boots…and by the way, those boots are super comfy. Now the hard part will be finding the next perfect outfit to wear them with…or maybe you just see me in leggings and a comfy sweater next time:)
