Today, I am co-hosting the Creative Closet link up party with Jana and Maegen! When I was deciding which week to sign up for I knew lady in red would be an awesome one, especially with Christmas right around the corner:) I am in LOVE with this outfit. The mixture of dressy and casual make me so happy! Plaid is huge this season and it’s always nice to have yet another new, interesting way to style your plaid button down.

This is fantastic!! Love the way you paired it with that tulle skirt!
I love that you paired your plaid with the tulle skirt! So cute!
So non traditional…. I love that and I as well LOVE the tulle skirt!
I’ve always been curious matching a plaid shirt with a flouncy feminine skirt. Now with your post I know it totally looks fabulous!
I love this! Plaid is my fave. I love the look of tulle skirts but can never figure out where I’d actually wear them, haha. They’re so pretty though!
Fun skirt! I love the creative pairing. I’m always impressed when I see things that I would never think to put together looking awesome together! Ha ha!
I love how you played with masculine/feminine touches here. It balances out perfectly! I remember seeing some outfits when you first made that skirt and it’s amazing to see how versatile it is even though it is a statement piece!
I absolutely love that skirt! It’s so flowy and it works perfectly with the top and details!
OH my gosh you made that skirt!!? That’s awesome! I love this outfit girl!

Milani, High Voltage with Wet and Wild clear gloss over it! You can get both at CVS!
I love the tulle and plaid mix- so farmer barbie meets glam! I think I just found my Christmas Eve look!
Super cute outfit, the skirt is very Sex in the City-esque

Such a lovely outfit nicely put together. Love the pearls and the shoes
I can not believe you made that skirt yourself! I want, I want!! Do you have a shop? Please let me know on twitter if possible ( @XKatieMatthewsX ) – I adore it!
I’ve also never thought to put a plaid shirt with such a beautiful skirt. You look incredible!

You are ROCKING this outfit! I have been wanting a tulle skirt forever, but everyone says that it’s easy to make. You have just inspired me to get on it.

Love the bright, light color palette (the red lipstick is just the perfect touch), and awesome that you made your own tuile skirt!!! I’d love to have one, but I’m not quite brave enough to try sewing my own yet.. it’s not an easy fabric to wrangle with.

I love fashion blogs for this reason – because I would have never thought to pair plaid with a tulle skirt like that! It looks absolutely stunning though, right? I love it.
Very cute outfit – love the tulle skirt!
Very pretty. I really like this shirt.
