The Creative Closet: Lady In Red

Plaid, pearls, and tulle

Today, I am co-hosting the Creative Closet link up party with Jana and Maegen! When I was deciding which week to sign up for I knew lady in red would be an awesome one, especially with Christmas right around the corner:) I am in LOVE with this outfit. The mixture of dressy and casual make me so happy! Plaid is huge this season and it’s always nice to have yet another new, interesting way to style your plaid button down.

I love this! Plaid is my fave. I love the look of tulle skirts but can never figure out where I’d actually wear them, haha. They’re so pretty though!

I can not believe you made that skirt yourself! I want, I want!! Do you have a shop? Please let me know on twitter if possible ( @XKatieMatthewsX ) – I adore it!
I’ve also never thought to put a plaid shirt with such a beautiful skirt. You look incredible!

Love the bright, light color palette (the red lipstick is just the perfect touch), and awesome that you made your own tuile skirt!!! I’d love to have one, but I’m not quite brave enough to try sewing my own yet.. it’s not an easy fabric to wrangle with. :)

I love fashion blogs for this reason – because I would have never thought to pair plaid with a tulle skirt like that! It looks absolutely stunning though, right? I love it.
