Scarves & Polka Dots

Pink, burgundy, and chambray outfit

It’s Monday again…..<sigh> at least it’s supposed to be nice this week. We had a beautiful weekend here in Austin. The sun was shining and my parents were in town so we went out to Lake Travis. We walked around the Mansfield Damn park and then went to the brewery at the Oasis. I am really excited for it to be summer and for our friend from Michigan to come visit so that we can go back. They had cornhole and adult jenga to play and an amazing view of the lake and hill country. If you haven’t been before and you are in the area, you should definitely check it out!

I wore this outfit last week when it was cold. It almost feels wrong to post it today since it’s going to be in the 70s here, but for all of you northern ladies who need warm weather inspiration here you go! Lol! I love the pink and burgundy together, and of course chambray just goes so well with everything. I was going to wear some flats with this outfits, but the polka dot tights and boots were more than necessary last week…my windshield even froze one morning! I really hope that this nice weather is here to stay so that I can start taking some spring time outfit photos, those are my favorite:) How was everyone else’s weekend?!

Fall Colors Outfit

Fall Outfit- mustard and burgundy

This weekend was a really great one! Friday and Saturday were spent inside with the hubby because we had some MAJOR storms. It’s sometimes nice to have an excuse to stay in and cuddle on the couch:) I had a little bit of cabin fever by the time Saturday night rolled around and decided to put up some Christmas decorations! I know, it’s not even thanksgiving yet, but I won’t have time to decorate next weekend or the one after so I decided it’s better to be early and enjoy it for longer! It looks awesome and now I am totally in the Christmas spirit! Sunday was sunny and 80 degrees so Wes and I walked over to the coffee shop in the morning, then yard work, outfit photos, and some yummy pulled pork sandwiches filled out the rest of the day. We got a lot done, but also had some relaxation time…perfect weekend:)Comfy scarf and sweater outfit Burgundy Skirt with mustard clutch Burgundy skirt with a fall hat Mustard tights with leopard pumps Mustard Monogrammed Clutch with burgundy skirt Fall outfit inspiration- Scarf and sweater Mustard and Burgundy Outfit Inspiration

I wore this outfit to work last week and I love theses colors, they remind me of the fall leaves. I was super lucky that this last week was when I noticed leaves starting to change and got to take some pictures with them! People complain about not having “fall” here in Texas, but it really just comes later than it does everywhere else. Our front yard is covered in yellow leaves and the trees in our neighborhood are turning left and right.

I have gotten so much use out of this skirt since I bought it! It’s so comfortable and I love finding new and fun ways to style it! I’ve featured it here and here already, and I have so many more ideas left! At first I was unsure about the baggy sweater with the higher waist of the skirt, but I don’t think it makes me as shapeless as I thought it might. Overall, I love the outfit and I’m pretty in love with these photos with the fall leaved in the back too!

Thanksgiving Wear 2014

Casual Thanksgiving Wear

Thanksgiving is just over a week away and I don’t know about you, but I cannot wait for mashed potatoes and gravy! I like the turkey and all, but I am more of a side dish girl. Give me green bean casserole, stuffing, and mashed potatoes with gravy and I’m set for life:) Well, obviously I have been thinking about my Thanksgiving day outfit for weeks now and today I’m showing you my ideas! One for the casual Thanksgiving setting, like mine…and one for if you are getting a little more dressed up for the big day! I am in LOVE with the scarf and cardigan in that first outfit…and those shoes! I need some oxfords! The glittery top in the second outfit is something I may need to invest in as well. It could be used for all sorts of holidays:) Enjoy!Dressy Thanksgiving Wear

Layering Up Because Fall Is Finally Here In Texas

Burgundy leopard and Chambray outfit inspiration

Happy hump day, everyone! Fall is FINALLY here in Austin! Woohoo! The weather this past weekend and the last two days has be beautiful. It’s great during the day, but I have to admit it is a bit nippy in the morning at bootcamp. I’ve had to pull out my long sleeved work out tops and my capris to get through until I start sweating! I’m excited though because that means that my fall outfits can be worn without the profuse sweating I have been enduring! Haha! Well, even with the cooler days we’ve been having the skirt is back. I only bought it a couple of weeks ago and I’ve already worn it to work multiple times and to go out shopping with my Momma. It’s comfy and it is the best fall color ever! And that cardigan! I have been wanting a new leopard cardigan for a while now, because the one I have doesn’t fit very well. I saw this one in Target and I LOVED the fact that the leopard is only on the front. I think it gives it a little bit of character that a plain old leopard cardigan doesn’t have. I also think it makes it look a little classier:) Burgundy and Leopard- Great fall outfit Leopard Cardigan and Chambray Leopard Print and Burngundy Skirt Burgundy Chambray and Leopard Print Old Navy and Target Outfit Inspiration Chambray top with burgundy skirt and cardigan Leopard and Burgundy outfit for fallGet The Look:

My only complaint with the outfit is that I think the chambray under the cardigan makes you look a little bulky, but it’s not too bad with the chambray tucked in to the skirt. How do you prevent the bulk when layering for fall and winter? Let me know in the comments below!
