Buffalo Check For The Win

Fall Outfit Inspiration- Red and black plaid

Old Navy has been ON it’s game lately! You know, there was a stage a while back where I was sick of Old Navy and everything was just too basic, but these last couple of seasons have been amazing! This dress! I first saw it on Shanna’s blog a few weeks ago and I bought it right then and there! I love how she styled hers with cowboy boots and a brown bag for a more casual look, but I decided to go with a more dressed up styling. I wore this to do a little shopping last weekend and I cannot tell you how many compliments I got on it. It is perfect for fall in Texas: plaid and short sleeved:) Fall Inpiration- Red and Black Plaid Black and red outfit for fall Red and Black Plaid Dress Red and black outfit inspiration Red and black plaid drop waist dress Red and black plaid for fall Black and red plaidGet The Look:

I have been DYING to find a red plaid dress ever since this post last winter. I tried so hard last year to find one, but the dress in that post was sold out:( I am SO glad I finally found one, and I know it is months too soon for it but this is going to be my Christmas Eve dress! I’ll add some black tights and gold sparkly heels…maybe even a little green hair bow to bring in the “Christmas colors”? Done and done, only 3 months early!

3 Ways To Style White Denim This Fall

3 Ways To Wear White Denim For Fall

I don’t know about you, but I love my white denim. It makes me sad every year on labor day that people think you have to fold these up and shove them in the back of your closet until springtime rolls around. There are SO many great ways that you can style white denim for the fall and winter and make them look great! I’ll be honest with you, most of my motivation to take white denim into the fall with me is that it’s so hot here in Texas, you can’t really wear them during the summer. People who can wear long pants when it’s 105 degrees out baffle me. The only time I can get away with it is if I know I won’t be stepping outside for even one moment when I’m at work. But anyways, back to the white denim! I have shown you three very different ways to style those white pants of yours all through the fall and winter!

Style #1: A chambray shirt goes with anything, so it just makes sense. Add some boots and a fall handbag and you’ve got yourself a fall outfit:) Don’t forget to accessorize with gold or something jewel toned!

Style #2: First of all, plaid is HUGE this fall, so these shoes alone will help your cause:) To me, red and black just seem like a fall/winter combination, you don’t see much of it during the summer months. Top it all off with a denim jacket and you’re good to go for chilly weather. You could even throw on a black leather jacket if you wanted to keep up with the red and black combo.

Style #3: Yellow is one of my favorite colors, so it’s fitting that mustard is my favorite for fall. This whole option just SCREAMS fall to me. The jewel tones, the brown booties, and the wooden jewelry…. it’s a fall lovers dream!
See! You can style your white denim for the colder months. Anyone who tells you otherwise just hasn’t figured it out yet. Now, go to your closet and pick out a fall inspired, white denim outfit, you rebel you!

Burgundy And Combat Boots: Making Those Boots Girly

Burgundy jeans and tan accents

Combat boots were one of those items that I desperately wanted but didn’t know if I could quite pull off. I bought them last fall and wore them here with a frilly dress and here with a comfy aztec cardigan (Love the sweater, but with the boots it was not my favorite outfit. Felt totally off to me for some reason.) I am not a tom boy. I like pink and lace, frilly things are my best friend, and I think that bright lipstick goes perfectly with anything. That’s just my style. Well, I have a secret for all of you girly girls who don’t think combat boots are for you: they are!  I  just love them when they are “girled up” like in the first outfit. The feminine parts of the outfit downplay the edginess of the boots and gives you a really nice mix. Not to mention, those stud on the boots I have, so girly:)

Lace Trim And Purple Accents

All That Glitters Blog- lace trimmed tunic, great for layering!

Remember this outfit? I recreated it using a few different pieces, but with the same idea in mind…and I love it! This top is going to be one of my core pieces this fall/winter. It is perfect for layering under big comfy sweaters and boyfriend cardigans:) If you can’t tell that I am excited for fall fashion, then you need to come around more often! Haha! It’s funny, because summer is my favorite season, I love the sun, the lakes, the dresses and sandals…..but fall fashion just makes me happy. An outfit like this makes me long for a hay ride and apple cider. <sigh> Why don’t they have cider mills in Texas?!?!All That Glitters Blog- Purple boho outfit All That Glitters Blog- Lace tunic and bow boots All That Glitters Blog- Lace tunic with scarf and fall handbag All That Glitters Blog- Lace trimmed tunic All That Glitters Blog- Boho outfit inspiration for fall All That Glitters- Purple boho scarf All That Glitters Blog- Boho inspiration All That Glitters Blog- with purple handbag and scarf

Boho Chic

Ok, so I really need to stop browsing online stores. Really. It’s a problem. I was looking around this week, as usual, and when I got to Charming Charlie’s website I fell in love with the entire outfit on the model. (see below) <sigh> I don’t need to shop more. (Just keep saying it, then maybe you’ll believe it, right?) I just had to share with all of you, maybe one of you can buy it all and I can borrow it, eh? Lol! I linked to all of the products below, except for the hat. I can’t believe they don’t have this hat on the site, big mistake…so I linked to another kind of like it. Oh, Charming Charlie, you have done it again…
