This Is What I Like About Texas

Hi Lovelies!

When Wes and I picked up and moved to Texas two years ago we had a lot of people ask, “Why Texas?”. Well, besides the fact that I lived in Texas during middle and high school and LOVED it. And, besides the fact that Texans have the most pride for their state than anywhere else I have ever been, which is amazing. THIS is ‘why Texas’. Sunday, November 17….85 degrees and sunny. I just don’t understand how you could NOT love that. It was chilly all last week and the leaves are starting to change, it’s beginning to feel like fall…and then it’s 85 degrees. You would NEVER get an 85 degree day in Michigan in November. Ever. This entire weekend was beautiful as a matter of fact. I have to tell you…Michigan has beautiful lakes, but I wouldn’t want to live anywhere but Austin:)

Isn’t it beautiful? I was in Target and there was only 1 left…talk about meant to be!?! I would have to say so! I have SUCH a thing for leopard print (and not just this season, forever) and mustard….well we all know how I feel about mustard!

I’m not sure if you can tell too well in the photos, but this top has tiny gold dots all over it. Tiny, glittery little dots and a Peter Pan collar, what more could a girl want? This is pretty much my new favorite outfit. So much so, that I have worn it 3 times already! This was my outfit for 2 of the Broadway shows we saw in New York City….and I may or may not have worn it again yesterday to work:)

Cheetah Craze

Hi Lovelies!

I don’t know about y’all, but I (even though I am super pumped for fall) am trying to squeeze every last bit out of my summer wardrobe before it’s too late! That’s why today’s post is bright and summery…and coral. Is anyone surprised that my dress is coral? No, I didn’t think so….

I love this cardigan. It can make a basic dress into an actual outfit in 5 seconds…and let’s be real I like 5 seconds. Especially when it is 7:40AM and I need to leave for work in oh….5 minutes ago! I really need to get a couple more patterned cardigans to help on those sorts of mornings…I’m thinking black and white polka dots next? It would look SO cute over a brightly colored dress:)

Stack ‘Em Up Now

Hello there, Strangers!

It’s been a while! Oh, the joys of the retail work world…no time to do anything except work! Well, GOOD NEWS! Tomorrow is my last day in the retail world! After a year and three months of accessorizing like crazy, putting up with insane customers day in and day out, and rarely doing the things I love to do, I will no longer be a retail manager! Yay! I like my job, but I am MORE than ready to be moving on into the business world. I will also be glad to not feel as though I am in a bad remake of the movie “Mean Girls” every day…haha!

Well, here is my trend of the day, stacking bracelets! I can rarely be seen without a wrist full of bracelets and these are some of my recent faves. Enjoy!
