Hi Lovelies!
We are finally past hump day and one day closer to a 3 day weekend! Woohoo! This is going to be an exceptionally grand labor day weekend for me, as this year will be the first in 3 years that I have actually had it off of work! Oh, the joys of working in retail management…thank goodness for 8-5 jobs!
Now, on to today’s outfit! I bought this shirt back in the retail working days, when I bought everything just because I had a discount. I brought it home, I wore it once, and then it sat in green section of my closet for the next 6 months. Luckily, I was searching through my closet this past weekend, after buying the fabulous pink necklace you see below, and I decided that they would go so well together with some white skinny jeans and sandals! The bright pink color and white skinny jeans really helped to bring the deep teal into summer.
The second outfit came from my dilemma I spoke of earlier in the week: wearing white pants after labor day. I don’t have a problem with it, and in order to make EVERYONE else see that the rule is indeed stupid, I decided to show y’all just how to dress white denim for fall. So here you have it, summer fading in to fall:

I’m loving both looks! Especially the earrings from the fall look, and the scarf, and the boots, and pretty much everything lol! And I totally feel you on the joys (sarcasm) of working retail. My co-workers and I always talk about how much we hate our store’s clothes and yet just because we get a discount we usually end up buying things all the time lol. It’s a love hate thing

Aren’t those earrings awesome?! My mother in law sent me a bunch of her old, vintage stuff and told me to go through it…I fell in love! And retail is funny, you will get something in, make fun of it for 2 weeks…and then end up buying it a week later because you “love” it. haha!

Oh my….well I have 2 closets, because the one I share with the hubby is so small. One for the current season, and one for everything else lol.
Love seeing someone revitalize something in their closet. Makes me think I need to go see what is the back of mine. I grew up in Southern GA. You were ridiculed if you wore white after labor day. I remember wearing white jeans to middle school and how all the mean girls pointed me out. Because of that I cannot to this day wear white after labor day but on the same hand I would never have issues with anyone that did. Bad mean girls!
Oh how middle school actually does STILL effect us! lol….mean girls suck! I say you should go for it this year! For me:)

I’ve heard that rule about not wearing white pants after Labor day but when are you supposed to start wearing them again? I say we wear white pants the day after Labor day just to spite the rule! 😉 Your outfits are great! Makes me excited for fall!
I agree! They aren’t really rules…more like guidelines…and I don’t like guidelines! lol!

Me too! I love that the pants are a little more summer, but the top is a little more fall….but when you pick the right accessories, it changes everything and makes them both fit perfectly in season:)

Never been very good at rules…rule breaking though is a specialty. I love your white pant fall look. I never know what to wear with brown boots. Now I know….White pants.
