Things I Love: Part 7

Things I Love

Things I Love:

  1. “I am thankful every day that Google does not charge for my questions.”
  2. Things you have GOT to stop doing to yourself. Just be happy:)
  3. I always wanted a pair of combat boots, but I never thought I could pull it off. These studded ones are super cute though!
  4. I just ordered my first one! I am so excited to see what I get!! Don’t worry, I’ll be sure to post all about it.
  5. I love to support people on Etsy, and these necklaces are just too cute not to share!
  6. And more Etsy, as well as another work out top! So cute!
  7. I’m always looking for ways to dress up my ponytail. These are really great ideas!
  8. I know it isn’t shark week anymore…and I wouldn’t watch the whole thing because it is super long….but this is too cute!
  9. I pretty much love anything Harry Potter. For all of you Potter Heads out there, how cool would it be to own this?
  10. These shoes are the perfect nautical shoes. I need them. Why oh why are they $300?

Until tomorrow…

Put A Bow On It

Hi Lovelies!

This dress just makes me want to twirl. Unfortunately, I look possessed when I twirl and try to get photos of it. Lol, so you are left with these lovely pictures of me in the regular old poses. You do get that gem down there by the bottom of me looking all serious today though! Anyways, on to the real post…last night Wes and I went on a date for our anniversary since we didn’t get to spend Saturday together alone. We went to this cute little Italian restaurant and it was spectacular! Below is the outfit I wore:) I love this dress…I actually wore it to my best friend’s rehearsal dinner last year as well. I’m pretty sure that I have mentioned about a million times how much I love coral and here I go again proving it.

I really wish that I had bows like these on ALL of my shoes. Bows just make everything better. I also wish I had more things to wear this dress to! I feel as though it is a little too dressy for most more casual occasions. Anyone out there have any good ideas on how to dress this baby down a bit so that I can wear it more often?

Until tomorrow…

Olive Juice!

Hi Lovelies!

You know, one of the best parts of my job is that I can wear pretty much whatever I want. I mean, other than sweatpants or ripped jeans, neither of which I would wear to work anyways. But, I know that not everyone is as lucky as me and some of you poor folks have to dress a little more ‘workish’ for work. You can’t wear a neon yellow skirt, a leopard print maxi dress, or floral print jeans. Luckily for you, I feel the need to dress in my workin’ girl clothes every once in a while and can show you how to do it:) So, here you have it a classy, and fashionable work outfit that could very easily be transformed into a night on the town. Add a pair of skinny jeans and some black stilettos and you’re there!

I love the  burnished gold rivets on this top, they were what really drew me to it in the first place. And that leaf bracelet….this is one of my fabulous 5 for $5 finds at Charming Charlie, and though it is really annoying because it makes so much sound I still love it! This outfit is going to be great to transfer over into fall. I can’t wait to break out the riding boots and skinny jeans and maybe find myself a leather jacket to go with it:)

Until tomorrow….

Our Adventures: Fort Worth, Texas

Hi Lovelies!

This past Sunday the hubby and I went with my entire family to the Fort Worth Stock Yards. Even though it was 104 degrees outside, we still had an absolute blast. We saw the marching of the cattle, had lunch at an old western saloon, went shopping, ate candy, played on fake horses, fed some real ones, and ended the day with long islands at Billy Bob’s, the world’s largest honky-tonk.

Wes and I watching the livestock go by and a bar that fits with Wes’ tastes perfectly.

Tonya, Michelle, and I “ride” the bull at Billy Bob’s, Auntie Meg helps Anniston ride the horse, and Uncle Wes meets Carter for the first time.

Fortworth

This is the ridiculous van that my Dad got to take all 12 of us to Fort Worth. It was all fun and game on the way there…but try sticking 12 sweaty people in a van on the way home. We were less than thrilled. Thankfully, we slept most of the way…

This was Wes’ first time to Fort Worth. He’s going to become a real cowboy now!

Even though I have been to Fort Worth a bunch of times (we have to take every new tourist who comes to visit!) I still manage to have fun each and every time. Maybe it was the $15 worth of candy that my sister bought our nephew, or maybe it was the fried catfish and french fries…either way, it was a great time!

Until tomorrow…

The Anniversary

Hi Lovelies!

Our weekend was fantastic! It was Wes and I’s first wedding anniversary so we decided to get some pictures of us all dressed up. We are going  to do two different things each anniversary: 1. Remake our favorite wedding photo pose wherever we are each year and 2. Write the anniversary on a chalkboard and hold it up, so that we know what year it is! This was the pose we picked:

Anniversary PIcture

I went to Hobby Lobby and bought a chalk board and wrote our 1st year on it:) And these are the result of the one year sign:

And….of course, I needed at least one up close outfit shot for y’all!

We celebrated our anniversary, as well as my parents 30th anniversary on Saturday night. The whole family got dressed up and we all piled into this ridiculous van my Dad rented and went to dinner at III Forks in Dallas. It was such a blast and dinner was absolutely amazing! These are all of my beautiful nieces and nephews and I before dinner on Saturday night. They love their Auntie Meg:)

Saturday morning was spent at the pool catchin’ some rays and making up for lost time:)

Pooltime

Overall, it was a blast! We went to Fort Worth on Sunday but there are just too many pictures to put them all up at once, so I will do a post on Fort Worth later this week:) Hope you all enjoyed your weekends as much as I did mine.
