Hi Lovelies!
Happy hump day! I cannot believe how fast time seems to be going. This past week has gone by so fast it’s unbelievable! Well, I hope you are all ready for my recap on the last 2 days of my trip to NYC! There are a few more outfit pictures on this post then there were yesterday, mostly because this outfit was so comfortable, yet I just felt cute in it:)
Anyways…Friday was really a day for just taking in the city and people watching. We visited the Statue of Liberty and walked by the Stock Exchange, unfortunately Ellis Island is still closed due to the hurricane. Now, if you haven’t been to the Statue of Liberty, it is definitely a must do! The boat ride out alone is worth it! You can see the entire city and all the surrounding Burroughs perfectly and get some really great shots…plus who doesn’t like a good boat ride? You can go all the way up to the top of the statue, but my family and I have already done so. We were perfectly content just walking around, getting some great photos, and then having a snack at the little café they have. That night we saw The Newsies on Broadway, which totally took me back to my high school choir days when we would watch the movie version. After the show, I met up with a few of my friends from high school/college and had some drinks…it was really great to catch up:)
On Saturday my dad wanted to watch football, so Mom and I went shopping. We shopped down 34th street and 5th Avenue and found some really great stuff! I’m sure you will see some of my finds on here once I am not feeling so sick:( We met up with my dad in the afternoon and made a trip to Central Park and Bryant Park (where the cute puppies below are from). The bridge in Central Park is my favorite picture from these 2 days….It was such a beautiful setting.

New York is near the top of my vacation wish list! And I love that top! I’m crazy for stripes
I love this one from Target! So comfy and it has a boat neck which gives it a little extra something:)
I love all your photos! The dogs are awesome haha. And I love the striped top and scarf!
Thanks, Niki! I couldn’t resist getting a few pictures of the puppies….puppies are my weakness:)
How fun! I love the outfit, looks super comfy & that scarf give it the right touch. Come to think of it I had a similar outfit during my DC trip (striped long sleeve + jeans + boots + a scarf – mine was plaid). How funny! Great minds think alike! I went to NY back in 8th grade but it was about a yr after 9/11 so there was still a bunch of debris being cleared. We accidently left our friend on Ellis Island on our way back to NY. Haha. I can’t wait to go back and REALLY explore! The last time I fell asleep during the musical, Aida
Haha! Great minds DO think alike:) I hope your friend got back alright…hahahaha! That is too funny!
I still cannot believe this Texas girl hasn’t made it to the Big Apple!! It looks like you got to see and do so much and while looking incredibly adorable!! I swear I will get there one day….hopefully sooner than later!!
You neeeed to! It was so much fun….the shopping, is to die for!
You are making me want to go to NYC tomorrow! 😉 LOL Loved your outfit and your sunnies! And those dogs are adorable!

Love your pics and your outfit. Love your sunglasses!
Thank you! I am so bummed, the screw fell out of these sunnies on the trip so I need to get them fixed!
Ok. Now I really want to go to New York! Those puppies are adorable!
Aren’t they?!?! I had to take some pics, they were just too cute to pass up!
Stripes and floral is one of my all-time favorite combos.
I have been wanting to mix and match patterns for a while now, but I have been so scared to! lol! This felt like a good start:)

NYC is my favorite city in the world! I keep begging my husband to move there…it will never happen! Thanks so much for linking up with me last week for WIWW!
NYC is so much fun! I lived there for a few months in college and it was one of the best experiences ever. So much to do, so much to buy:)
