The Austin Passbook

Austin passbook Downtown

You guys, this is awesome. One of my blogger friends Lee Anne (from Life In ATX) launched the Austin Passbook last week and I am so excited about it! I ordered mine on Monday and already have it in my hands as we speak! This is perfect timing since we have friends coming in to town this weekend and I will be using it nonstop!

What is the Austin Passbook? It’s that awesome little passport-like book you see up there! It is filled with 2 for 1 deals for 40 different food trucks and activities around the Austin area. (For a full list of participants go here.) The Passbook is only $20 and you can buy it here, at The Departure Lounge, or at the Austin Visitor’s Center.

How does it work? Go to the food truck or activity listed, show them your passbook, get it stamped, and enjoy your 2 for 1 deal! I am so excited to get out there an explore this wonderful city! I have lived here for 3 years and cannot believe how many of the awesome food trucks in the Passbook I haven’t been to! I’m also pumped to get BOGO paddle boarding and kayaking!

The Austin Passbook is great for all you foodies out there who want to go explore Austin, whether you’re a newbie or not! Get out there and enjoy!

Color Crush: Navy And Cognac

Navy Floral Chiffon Top with Riding Boots

Looking back at this outfit, I wish I would have worn a belt. Lol. Do you ever do that? Wear something and then look back at a picture of you in it and wish you had done it differently? I just feel like it’s too flowy and doesn’t give me any shape. I mean, it’s not horrible, but a belt would have helped to accentuate my waist. Oh well, you live and you learn right? I still love this top:)Fall Fashion Inspiration- Navy Chiffon Fall Fashion- Navy and Cognac Charming Western Necklace Navy Chiffon Top with ethnic necklace Fall Inspiration- Navy and Brown OUtfitGet The Look:

Charming Charlie has done it again! This whole outfit, minus the denim, is from there and I love every bit of it! Even though I wish the top was a little more figure flattering, I really do like it…and it’s super comfy:) I have never really been one for blues in my fashion pieces, but blues and browns together are quickly becoming one of my new favorite fall color schemes. I wore it last week here and I’m pretty sure that’s when I fell in love. Or maybe it was when I first found this handbag in Charming Charlie. Either way, you can be sure I will be wearing much more of it in the near future:)

My October Favorites

My oh my, I cannot believe that it is November already. I’m pretty sure I say that at the beginning of every month week. It’s just crazy to me how fast the time is going by. Before you know it, it will be December 24th and Christmas will be here! Although, going in to stores this weekend, you would think Christmas was tomorrow! The Christmas decorations are out and in full force, I can’t believe some stores didn’t even wait until Halloween was over. I won’t lie to you though, I already have a list of great Christmas crafts I’m going to get on pretty soon for my 12 days of Christmas crafts posts in December. But, let’s not get ahead of ourselves here, it’s still November 3rd. So, in honor of Halloween month officially being over, I will leave you with my favorite outfits for the month of October. Enjoy!

Weekend Steals

IT’S HALLOWEEN! Yay! Halloween, as I am sure I have told you a million times, is my favorite! It’s odd, because I don’t really like masked people, clowns, creepy looking dolls, etc. but I absolutely LOVE Halloween. I guess I have always loved the cutesy side of Halloween, not the dark side so it makes a little more sense when you think about it that way. Give me a showing of Hocus Pocus, some awesome decorations (not the gory kind), and a creative DIY costume and I am in Halloween Heaven! If you missed my Halloween costume post from Sunday night, I am dressing as the Queen of Hearts tonight:) I am so excited because we will FINALLY have trick or treaters this year! (Cross your fingers) Last year we lived in a duplex in a neighborhood that had no children, but this year we live in a real house, with real neighbors that have REAL kids!! I am so pumped if you can’t tell! A few of our friends are dressing up and coming over to pass out candy and have a few drinks and Halloween snacks with us. Should be a grand time:) Since I already shared my costume with y’all, and I showed my cute Halloween outfit with Busy Being Jennifer’s readers, I don’t have an outfit post for today. I will leave you instead, with an awesome Forever 21 sale that’s going on this weekend! You can save 20% with the code F21FRIEND. Ends 11/2/14. Enjoy my picks!

Those Limited Too Days Keep Coming Back To Haunt Me

Plaid skort with knee high boots

I’ll try not to talk about my Limited Too days again for a whole post like I did last week, but this skirt reminds me of it. It reminds me of the first day of 5th grade pulling up to school in my plaid skort…man I was the coolest kid ever. Actually, I really wasn’t. I was the new kid in school and I was a big nerd to be totally honest. I might have looked amazing that first day of school, but don’t let my plaid skirt fool you. I owned lime green shorts that made it down to my knees and a penguin shirt I let my Mom make me wear. I also had these awesome London themed Doc Martins I wore with shorts and a LTD2 shirt. I won’t even make you imagine it, I’ll go right ahead and show you how it was….Floppy hat with a skort and blouse Plaid skort with a floppy hat Fall Fashion Inspiration- Plaid and a floppy hat Blue skort with knee high suede boots Gold accessories for fall Navy Charming Charlie Handbag with cognac boots Navy plaid skort with Navy satchel

Yeah, I know. Let’s not talk about it any longer….let’s talk about today’s outfit! I wore this one a few weekends ago to get a little shopping in. It was comfy, cute, and functional since it was a sunny day and this hat kept it out of my eyes:) I can’t bring myself to wear a skirt/shorts this short to work by themselves (even though I can wear whatever I want), but I plan to put on some brown leggings or some thick tights with boots once it gets a little chillier out and rock this look to work as well. I might even throw on my fur vest and a statement necklace with it. You know, get those men at work looking at me like I have 3 heads. They don’t understand me and they never will, but I’m really okay with that:)
Are there any styles out right now that remind you of your child hood?
