A Little Bit About London & Gold Glitter

Black and gold with burgundy

This is an outfit I wore when we went out in London one night. I wanted to get some REALLY good Shepard’s pie since it’s my favorite, and what better place than London to find the best! Well, we looked it up online and found an article saying that The Ivy had one of the best, so we made a reservation. I have to say, it was REALLY good. If you like Shepard’s pie, I highly recommend. I also recommend getting a Strawberry Daiquiri here! It was a scoop of strawberry sorbet in the alcohol, one of the most interesting and delicious drinks I have ever had!

Well, anyways, this was the outfit I wore to the restaurant and I think it fit in well with the unique London styles they have going on over there! I brought a few pairs of my Kushyfoot tights to wear with all of my outfits since it does get much chillier than I am used to here in Austin. It worked out super well that I could still wear some skirts and stay warm at the same time. You’ve definitely heard me talk about Kushyfoot tights before if you’ve been around here long enough because I am a HUGE fan! They have so many different colors and textures, it makes switching up your wardrobe and extending the life of your clothes through different seasons so much easier! I highly recommend checking them out if you need to add some tights or socks to your fall and winter wardrobe!

Hope you are all having a fantastic weekend! Stay warm out there!

Burgundy & Black For Fall

Plaid shirt with a skirt

It’s been a while! I’ve been super busy with life and haven’t had too much time to get to the blog lately! I did, however, want to share with you one of my favorite fall outfits! Hats are always a great way to add a little something to your outfit, and fall hats are a favorite of mine! I really wanted a burgundy hat since it’s one of my favorite fall colors, so when I was offered this one by the Brooklyn Hat Company I was psyched. (Yes, I just used the word “psyched”…lol) This whole outfit feels so put together and is great for a date night out or a day of shopping with the girls.

Miss Sophie Says Happy Halloween

Monster dog

Well, it’s official. I may be obsessed with my dog. Really though, who could blame me? Look at that little face? Being Halloween week, I thought it was appropriate to share some pictures I took of Miss Sophie over the weekend. She has accumulated quite the Halloween costume collection over the last 5 years. This year, she is a 5 eyed monster…I got this little number at Michael’s for 5o% off. You’ve seen this already if you follow me on Instagram:) Dog pajamas Dog costume- pumpkin Dog costume- monster Dog Pumpkin PJsNow that I’ve posted a sufficiently obnoxious amount of photos of my dog in Halloween attire…I’ll let you all go on with your lives. Halloween Zombie Cupcakes

Halloween Zombie Cupcakes

Halloween is one of my absolute favorite holidays! I love the costumes and the decorations, but most of all I love the food! (Yes, there I go again about food!) I saw these gummy teeth at Target last week and I knew exactly what I wanted to do with them: Zombies!! Walking Dead anyone?! :) They are super easy to make and the neighbors I gave them to just LOVED them! Let me give you some fair waning though: food coloring+any shirt you like=bad news. Don’t do it!Halloween Monster Cupcakes Bloodspatter Cupcakes Zombie Blood Cupcakes Zombie Cupcakes Bloody Halloween Cupcakes Zombie Monster CupcakesDirections:

  1. Make your Halloween funfetti cupcakes. I made mine with unsweetened applesauce instead of oil. Can’t even taste the difference!
  2. Let your cupcakes cool once they are baked.
  3. Frost with any white frosting.
  4. Mix a little bit of the frosting with some red food color. Add a little bit of water as well until you have a good “splatter” consistency!
  5. Practice splattering your red frosting. I did this in my sink to avoid a mess. (That didn’t work, lol!)
  6. You will want as little red frosting on your spoon as possible. If there is too much your blood will clump and not look real!
  7. Find a safe place (I did this outside) to splatter your cupcakes!
  8. Add gummy teeth…they also had gummy brains as well which would be fun too!
  9. Eat! Yum!

I hope you enjoy making these as much as I did! Like I said earlier, don’t wear something you love…because you will get red on it! Haha! Happy Halloween week! All That Glitters Blog Signature
