Happy Friday! The weekend has come again and I have big plans for mine! Wes and I will be working on some fun house stuff this weekend (post about it to come) and I am super pumped. Ever since moving in to our house in May I have been brainstorming fun ideas for ways to upgrade and update it and this weekend I’m going to make one of those things happen! Woohoo! This scarf is one of my new favorites! Plaid is really big this season and I love these colors together. You don’t see much navy and pink, most of the plaid around right now is red (which I love too, lol). Have you bought anything plaid for the fall?

Lace Trim And Purple Accents

Remember this outfit? I recreated it using a few different pieces, but with the same idea in mind…and I love it! This top is going to be one of my core pieces this fall/winter. It is perfect for layering under big comfy sweaters and boyfriend cardigans:) If you can’t tell that I am excited for fall fashion, then you need to come around more often! Haha! It’s funny, because summer is my favorite season, I love the sun, the lakes, the dresses and sandals…..but fall fashion just makes me happy. An outfit like this makes me long for a hay ride and apple cider. <sigh> Why don’t they have cider mills in Texas?!?!

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. I spent my time in Dallas at my nephew’s 5th birthday party. It was pirate themed and absolutely adorable. What did everyone else do for their weekend?

Look, I Match The Living Room

I can’t say it…I just can’t say happy Monday. It’ll just make me miss the weekend too much. I got so much done around the new house, and of course I finished planning out my entire living room in my head:) Thankfully next weekend is labor day and we get 3 days off! Woot woot! Some grilling and pool time in the backyard is definitely the plan…maybe a little painting as well, we shall see! Speaking of the living room, my outfit matches the living room today:) Turquoise and yellow just look so fabulous together I couldn’t resist!

I wore this outfit to go shopping on Saturday. It was a pretty hot weekend here, but thankfully the fabric on this top is pretty light weight and breathable, so it wasn’t too hot walking around an outdoor mall. I got compliments in every store I went in to about this necklace, which is one of the reasons why I love it so much. It gives a little somethin’, somethin’ to even the most basic of outfits! I love that one simple piece can make or break an entire outfit.

Ok, so I really need to stop browsing online stores. Really. It’s a problem. I was looking around this week, as usual, and when I got to Charming Charlie’s website I fell in love with the entire outfit on the model. (see below) <sigh> I don’t need to shop more. The Pink Poodle

I love finding the perfect background for photos. I saw a picture of the Pink Poodle Lounge online somewhere a while back and I knew I had to find it and take outfit photos in front of it. To start, pink is my favorite color, and really, that poodle is just amazing! There are so many fun, eclectic places around Austin, I feel like I’m just starting (3 years in) to find some of the coolest ones:) This lounge is unfortunately closed, but I am so glad they hadn’t sold the place and painted over the mural before I got a chance to pose in front of it:)

This hair style has become one of my favorites lately. My bangs are growing out, and they are at kind of an awkward stage right now. That little braid helps to hide all of the awkwardness that is behind it:) Haha! It’s really easy, maybe I’ll have to do my very first vlog ever and give a little tutorial? We shall see:)

On to the outfit. These pants are the best. I got them at Old Navy last year and they are so freakin’ comfy! When I first bought them I was all self conscious that they would make my thighs look thunderous, but when I wore them around for a bit those fears were masked my the comfort of los pantalones.
