Best of 2013: A Year In Review

Hi Lovelies!

I hope everyone has a wonderful New Year’s Eve tonight! I will be ringing in the new year with the hubby and a couple of our friends eating delicious food here in Austin! I know I’m a little bit late to the game today, but I just have so much to share I couldn’t wait until tomorrow! So, here you are, a recap of my year and the best of All That Glitters 2013!

January-March

We spent new years with some friends at Perla’s in Austin and then went to a bar for the ball drop. It was a low key New Year’s, but still great! In February I was able to go help open a Charming Charlie store in San Antonio. It was a really great experience and I learned a lot about leadership. March brought South By Southwest along with it. Wes was able to go to a lot of the conference events through his company, and network network network! We also went to the Houston Rodeo with one of my best friends since middle school. We saw Luke Bryan and he was every bit as amazing as I thought he would be:)

April

I started my new job and quit retail for good. I got out of a horrible situation with the worst boss I have ever encountered. Some people are just plain mean at heart and I am so happy/lucky that I have found the wonderful company that I did with such great people. I wrote my first post on All That Glitters this month, though I didn’t “go public” until June.

May

Wes and I took our honeymoon to Negril, Jamaica. It was absolutely beautiful and one of the best vacations I have ever been on.NEGRIL, JAMAICA

June

I had written about 3 posts on All That Glitters prior to June, all of which are awful (lol). The week of my birthday I decided I was just going to jump in and have been writing 5 posts per week since! Wes also got a new job this month. He loves his job and company as well, we couldn’t be luckier!

July

In July my newest nephew, Carter Michael, was born. He is such a sweet baby and is growing up WAY too fast already!

August was the Texas Style Council Convention and I had so much fun. I met a bunch of bloggers that I love in real life and we all had a blast! August 10th was our first wedding anniversary. We spent it in Dallas with my family where we had a party for my parents 30th anniversary.

September

In September, my parents and I took a trip to the big city. NYC is one of my favorites and I got to relive some really great college memories by visiting my old stomping grounds!

October

This post went viral (well, viral for me…lol) on Pinterest and I got the highest amount of views in one day because of it!

November

November brought with it some great blogging adventures. I started offering ads on All That Glitters and sold my very first ad! We spent Thanksgiving in Dallas with my parents and my grandparents flew in from Florida.

December

Blogging got intense in December when I started a 12 days of Christmas crafts series. I loved it and hated it at the same time. I will for sure be repeating next year with new crafts! My in-laws came to visit for Christmas and we got to do things in Austin that we haven’t even done yet, even after living here for 2 years. It was a great time!
