Hi Lovelies! One of my favorite 2013 trends was by far pastels. I am so excited that I am still seeing them everywhere I shop, it gives me so much hope that they are here to stay! PS: I cannot believe that I am already seeing spring lines going out at every store I walk into! I am so pumped, since I absolutely hate winter and cannot wait for my Texas spring:)
These light colors are great all year round and today I wanted to show you a few cute options for wearing pastels through winter and into spring.
I don’t think we Texans will be needing our winter clothes for too much longer, but for all of you Northern ladies out there, we have the winter pastel outfit. A nice warm sweater with skinnies and some adorable mint shoes to top it all off!
Get The Look: Sweater: American Eagle, Skinnies: H&M, Tank top: Target, Necklace: Nordstrom Rack, Clutch: Charming Charlie, Headband: Aerie, Sunglasses: Aldo, Shoes: c/o Yellowbox, Bracelet: Charming Charlie
And for you Texas ladies who had a 65 degree day yesterday <woot woot>…here is my spring version! This shirt is so comfy and they have a whole bunch of different colors. It’s a nice alternative to the regular denim chambray top.
Get The look:
Top: Old Navy, Skinnies: H&M, Headband: Nordstrom Rack, Purse: Charming Charlie, Shoes: c/o Yellowbox, Infinity necklace: gift from Wes, Mint necklace: Lia Sophia, Aviators: Delia’s
The kicker in these outfits for me really is the shoes. They are by Yellowbox and I think they are just the cutest. I have gotten so many compliments on them already and I’ve only worn them once or twice. My Mom, sisters and I have been huge Yellowbox sandal fans for years and I had NO idea Yellowbox even made flats until recently! New obsession found.
How will you be wearing pastels in 2014?
Until tomorrow…

Loving the yellow top.
Thanks! So comfy…I may have to go back and get the coral one as well:)
I love how that mint headband looks with the lilac sweater!
I love mixing pastels! Reminds me of rainbow sherbert…lol!
Is there a look you can’t pull off?? Geez. I usually find myself wearing too dark colors through the Spring but this gives me an idea of how to add pops of lighter colors to my wardrobe.
Thank you, Stephanie! I used to wear black ALL the time…I’ve been trying to lighten up my wardrobe and pastels are the perfect way to do it:)
I LOVE THE SHOES! But then again I susually want to steal your footwear I love that the sweater has just a hint of iciness to it, makes it perfect for winter!
Aren’t they the best? So cute…and I love anything mint! This sweater is so soft too. I am always afraid of sweaters because they can be itchy if made from the wrong materials. I don’t know what is in this one, but its so soft!
The button down with jeans is one of my go-to looks. Love the shoes.
Me too! Comfortable, yet still cute! Thanks!
Oh wow! I’m so opposite! I love winter and layers and boots and scarves and…..on and on!

I love this post! I never think of pastels for winter, but they totally work! I love your purple sweater and your necklace is so cute!

Thank you, Ashley! I love pastels in the winter! They have had some really great sweaters and cold weather accessories in pastels this year!
Winter in Texas is almost over? I’m so jealous, it was 16* here today. Love your season to season pastels!

It is! It was 65 degrees today! It won’t stay that warm, but it shouldn’t get too far below 50 now….knock on wood!
With Pantone making its declaration you know Orchid and all things purple are going to hit it big for spring!
And girl you rock that bun like nobody’s business!
I saw that! I am not usually a purple person, but I love this shade! And thank you, I love my sock bun:)
